  • Well-established and popular holiday park on the banks of Lough Erne
  • Part of a 230-acre country park 20 minutes' drive from Enniskillen
  • Fishing, watersports, bike hire, play area, restaurant and bar on site
Now here’s a place that's got a very well-established reputation – and when a business has been thriving since 1966, you just know that it must be doing things rather well. That’s certainly the case with Castle Archdale Caravan Park, which has been operating in this lovely spot on the shores of Lower Lough Erne for well over half a century. Now owned by the Mahon family for more than 28 years, it’s grown to be a well-equipped and much-loved Co. Fermanagh holiday park for all ages. The setting gives it a head start, of course – it’s surrounded by the 230 acres of Castle Archdale Country Park, once a World War II airbase and now a protected park owned by DAERA. Enniskillen is a 20-minute drive away along the lakeshore for shops and other town amenities when you need them. And then there are all the facilities, covering both practicalities and leisure time. Guests here have access to watersports and fishing on the lake, bike hire for exploring the park, and a play area and various activities to keep the kids amused. A shop, picnic areas and barbecue areas are all on hand for self-catering times, and there's also a restaurant, chip shop and bar for easy eats and drinks (seasonal opening hours apply). On the practical front, you’ll also have access to things like a launderette, a wifi connection, gas cylinder exchange service and chemical toilet disposal.

What customers say

This well-equipped and spacious site in Fermanagh offers private pitches with handy utilities. It's very pet-friendly, set in a beautiful park with extensive walking trails and cycling paths. On-site amenities include a takeaway pizza, restaurant, and shops. Facilities are generally clean, with some praising heated showers. However, some visitors experienced issues with amenities being closed, inconsistent Wi-Fi, and noise from children playing ball games in unsuitable areas.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lovely staff. New bathroom/shower block has heated floor and is great to use. We attended a lovely quizz on Monday evening in pub. Didn't win but winners were very good to give sweets to the kids. Food was lovely with big portions. Kids made loads of friends. Great playground, cycling and shop

Disliked Alot of traffic around site as it is big. Few accidents of bikes as roads bumpy. Hospital in Enniskillen was very near and staff were great. No cost as E111.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked We recently stayed at this campsite in Fermanagh and absolutely loved it. The pitch we booked was spacious, private, and had everything we needed: electricity, fresh water, and grey water disposal all right at hand. Everything was laid out perfectly and made for a very easy and comfortable stay.

It’s also extremely pet-friendly, which made a huge difference for us. The site is located in a beautiful park with endless walking trails and so much to explore; you could easily stay for days and never run out of things to do.

One evening, we decided not to cook and had a lovely pizza on-site, which really hit the spot. There’s also a restaurant and small shops within the park, which is a huge plus.

All in all, it was a peaceful, well-equipped, and welcoming place. We’ll definitely be back! 🏕️🐾🍕

Disliked Nothing to dislike but It would be nice to have a coffe shop with fresh pastries for the mornings and an improved WI-FI reception.
