What customers say
This quiet, peaceful site offers beautiful countryside views and a warm welcome from friendly, helpful owners. Campers appreciate the tranquil atmosphere, privacy, and proximity to amenities. The small farm shop selling fresh produce and ice cream is a popular highlight. While some note the lack of facilities and narrow access lanes, most find it a perfect, authentic rural getaway. Access can be tricky, especially in wet weather.

Don’t visit if you have a dog
Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked Views, location.
Disliked Please don’t visit if you have a dog. I was approached by two black labs off lead as I drove into the site, no issues.
I took my greyhound (on lead) for a walk, out of nowhere we were met with a very loud terrier type of dog who was quickly followed by two black labs (I’m assuming the same as the ones we met earlier). All three were off lead barking (aggressively) and circling my dog. The lady who was with them called out 4 times and not once did the dogs listen. She had a baby in a sling, so wasn’t in the bestest position to control 3 dogs. I was honestly scared and decided to pack up and head home.
As I drove out of the field I could hear dogs barking again, this time at least 2 were running after the car! I could only see one black tail in my rear window (that’s how close they were), the terrier was running by my wheels. I can see a nasty accident happening with these dogs.
I was travelling alone and we live very local, I just wanted to try some new kit out. Unfortunately this isn’t the first review similar.
The site allows “well behaved on lead dogs”… yet their own aren’t. I don’t think this site should allow visiting dogs.

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked Very quiet, laid back camping in a field with a great view. Cows in the field in front were pleasant to watch & many birds of pray soaring above.
Great little unmanned farm shop with a coffee machine too.
No fuss, saw the owner the day after we arrived for a chat & pay our balance.
Cheap & cheerfull, lots of countryside walks direct from the site.
Disliked There were around 5 black labradors & a small dog roaming free around the lane to the camping field which all surrounded our 15yr old springer growling & barking & as we walked by one of them pinned her to the floor. It was a little intimidating but they gave up when I shouted & picked her up.
Not a huge problem, but it did scare my wife & our dog.

Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch
Liked The field was lovely. Views great. No children but loads of dogs my dachshund had a wonderful time. Very peaceful. Little shop a really nice addition
Disliked The farm dogs are a pack. They are very noisy. I was unwilling to walk down the lane as it was intimidating. I did pass this on in person following my stay as I would like to return. I appreciate that they belong there and I am a visitor but it became an issue for several of us.

Disliked Nothing to dislike, just a note, as in the description there are no facilities, there’s water and chemical waste, that’s it, you need to be completely self sufficient!
