This is a peaceful and quiet site in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring the Quantock Hills and nearby attractions like the West Somerset Railway. Visitors consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and welcoming hosts. Pitches are generally well-sized and level. However, some reviews highlight that the toilet and shower facilities are basic and could benefit from an upgrade, with some guests feeling the site is more suited for mobile homes than traditional camping. Road noise is minimal.

Nice quiet spot. Adult only.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Very quiet and 10 mins walking distance of the Somerset steam line between Bishops Lydiard and Minehead.
Disliked Not really set up for tourers.

Won't be staying there again.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked This is not a caravan/ motorhome site, it basically comprises of concrete hard standings made ready for static lodges.
Nothing to like other than the friendly guy who popped in and out now and then.
Disliked No facilities as such, just one shed with a sink and shower and another with a sink and a toilet for the whole site. The toilet shed door has gaps in-between the planks that you can see through, worse in the night if you have the light on!
No shop or pub you can walk to as there is no pavement on the main road next to the site.
The charge per night is extremely over priced for basically being able to pitch on a slab of concrete and have electric.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked The site is very new and only has a shed shower and toilet, very clean though, but if you are travelling with a motor home you will have everything you need anyway. The pitches are very large, level and easily accessable with beautiful views. The road out front is busy but the large trees and hedgerow block out most of the noise. At night it is very dark, no light pollution and peaceful and in the mornings we were woken up with a dawn chorus.
The site is a perfect base to explore the area, there is a bus stop to the right of the site and a beautiful country lane to the left and a 15 minute walk took us to a beautiful period railway station where we caught a steam train to Minehead ( it runs between Minehead and Taunton) we had a really good day out and didn't need to take the motor home off site.
The next day on the way home we visited Wimbleball resevoir only an hours drive away.
The owners are lovely, very friendly and helpful and are looking forward to developing the site and facilities but the lack of facilities didn't spoil our stay at all as it's all about the area that it's in.
We had a very quiet, relaxing and stress free stay and would definately come back.
Disliked Nothing!

Liked Great couple. V friendly and welcoming. Really lovely people. It's a brilliant location for exploring the beautiful quantock hills. Clean and sweetly quirky bathroom. Great sized pitches. Fab sunsets and mature trees for shade. I will definitely be back!

Building site rather than a campsite, so we moved on!
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked I contacted David when we arrived as I couldn’t make out where the facilities were. He was helpful and apologised for not being on site.
Disliked The facilities were two shed structures and to be fair they were clean. However, the site is NOT a camping site as all the ‘pitches’ are concrete slabs with pipe work coming out of them, obviously waiting for the buildings to be erected (some of which can be seen close by). In our 6.4m camper van, it was difficult to manoeuvre around the roadways.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked We particularly enjoyed eating outside listening to the birds and horses, . Also, watching the red deer in the opposite field ( bring binoculars),
Road noise was minimal.
David and his lovely family were very welcoming and friendly. Always had a wave and a smile. We will definately he back.
Good cycle rides and walks. Bus to Williton/ Minhead/ Taunton nearby.
Also Crowcombe Heathfield train station is close to the site.
Secure, gated site

Practical and good location
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Very friendly welcome and local information given which was really useful. Nice large concrete pitch. Nice views and cute, clean shower and toilet. Bus stop nearby to Minehead and Taunton, although short distance by a very busy road. Steam train is nearby. Good wifu.
Disliked The elsan point is a bit high up making it difficult to empty. The site wouldn't be for everyone as pitches are basically bases prepared for statics with cabling so there isn't much grass for awnings. This didn't bother us.

Lovely helpful hosts, great level pitches. Very quiet & peaceful.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely hosts meet & greet as you enter through secure gated entrance.
Good sized solid hardstandings with well located hook up point.
Secure site with good space all around, peaceful with minimal noise.
Lovely walk to the steam railway down country lane.
Disliked The toilet/shower facilities could do with being upgraded to a portacabin size especially if the site becomes busy.
To dangerous to walk to any shops as main road does not have a footpath, so take anything you may need with you.

Liked Very quiet campsite, good cycling, close to brewery, steam railway, bus stop just outside campsite to Watchet and the coast.
Disliked Not a lot really, if I had to pick one thing the main road is very busy if walking
