Snowdrop Barn Meadow is a family-run site in the Dorset countryside, among fields close to Holtwood Forest and about 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Wimborne Minster. This is a splendidly peaceful location that’s a proper little wildlife haven, with deer often spotted in the neighbouring fields (but no kids spotted, as this is an adults-only site). There are plenty of footpaths and forest trails to wander nearby for a closer look at the local surrounds (and a couple of pubs within two miles if you’re equally interested in the local beer and something to eat). The central Dorset location is a handy one for getting out and about to all sort of days out, whether you fancy strolling through a National Trust estate, taking to the trails of the New Forest or hitting the beaches of Bournemouth and Poole (or hopping on a boat to Brownsea Island). There’s also plenty to do in the local town of Wimborne Minster – including lots of good places to eat and drink. Facilities at this quiet site are fairly minimal but guests will have access to portable toilets and wifi and are allowed to bring along barbecues and dogs (just don’t let the two get too close to each other…).
