What customers say

This well-maintained, peaceful campsite is praised for its spacious, level pitches and immaculately clean facilities. Guests appreciate the friendly, helpful staff and the beautiful riverside and woodland walks directly accessible from the site. It's conveniently located within walking distance of Burton Bradstock village with its pubs, and Hive Beach. Some minor drawbacks include the distance to facilities from some pitches and occasional Wi-Fi issues. Overall, visitors found it a relaxing and highly recommendable stay.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely location, easy walk to the village and beach with a local bus service.

Disliked No facilities for the camping fields. Such a very long walk to the toilet (especially as a mature couple) and shower block and washing up sinks. Why are they in the middle of the park homes when they have their own?
The Charge for WiFi.

Lower Meadow non-electric grass pitch

Liked great location, lovely and clean families, pitch areas nice and generous (they certainly don't over book). A peaceful site lots of bird life and a lovely walk along side a small river.
Friendly and helpful staff

Disliked In spite of their best efforts to keep the site quiet, they are about mile (as the crow flys) from Bredy Farm, who occasionally think it's fine to play music until 2 in the morning. We were fine, but if you're a light sleeper check Bredy Farms website for events!

Lower Meadow non-electric grass pitch

Liked Site had a few walks from it, and little nature walks on site

Disliked Bit noisy on a morning of you're pitched near the dog walking field. could do with a few extra sinks and mirrors in the ladies toilets

Lower Meadow non-electric grass pitch

Liked We loved this pitch and being surrounded by fields. We heard owls and saw bats at night. It wasn't over crowded and the grounds were neat and well cared for. Facilities were also clean, water was hot and they also weren't overcrowded.
Pizza truck on Saturday was a great treat after a tiring journey and set up.
We really enjoyed not being able to use our phones! The walk to Hive beach took about 35mins carrying children and was absolutely lovely.
There were some wasps so be prepared with spray. That's nature for you and it wouldnt put us off staying again

Lower Meadow non-electric grass pitch

Liked Well maintained, spotlessly clean site. Tent field was flat, there were no spots where you wouldn't want to pitch! Very peaceful surroundings and with plenty of walks nearby.

Local attractions

Marketeers should make a mosey around Bridport their first stop – there’s been a market in the town since Queen Elizabeth (the first one) graciously granted permission. The Bridport Museum is also worth a stop, and, as shopping and sightseeing are thirsty work, a visit to sample the ale at the 18th-century Palmers Brewery is highly recommended. Bridport’s a gateway town for the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast, with enough to do to keep the whole family busy for weeks – fossil hunting, crabbing, boat tours, sea fishing and watersports are all around to try, or you could see the country from above and below with a spot of paragliding or scuba diving. Beachwise, there’s bags of choice within a short journey of Graston Copse: the small pebbly beach at Hive is a National Trust site; drop in while here to sample the seafood at the acclaimed Hive Beach Café. The village of Burton Bradstock is tucked at the westerly end of 18-mile Chesil Beach, one of three major shingle structures in Britain (it’s said that smugglers in years gone by could tell exactly where they were on the beach even in the dead of night, just by the feel of the shingle). For west Dorset attractions, go to meet the inhabitants at Abbotsbury Swannery: there are over 600 hungry beaks to hand-feed here, as well as a kids' farm and award-winning gardens to look around.
