Tucked away deep in the Devon countryside about 10 minutes’ drive from Holsworthy, Holiday Lashbrook makes a lovely rural hideaway for peace-seekers and nature enthusiasts.
This is a place where you can unplug from the digital world and go back to the simple life – by design, it’s a back to basics setup here, with simple facilities including an upcycled toilet shed with a couple of (flushing) toilets and a cold-water outdoor sink (please note there’s no hot water on site).
To maintain that peaceful vibe on site, there’s no vehicle access to the camping field; you’ll park cars in the dedicated parking area and walk your stuff down from there. That keeps the pitches safe and serene for all guests, leaving you free to admire the gorgeously green surroundings in peace, light a barbecue for a bit of alfresco cooking and stare up into the starry skies after dark.
And how might you fill your days until it’s time to get that barbecue going? Well, this is a great spot for all sorts of outdoor activities, whether you’re up for a long bike ride on the Tarka Trail or a quiet day of fishing. Hikers can head inland to Dartmoor National Park or up to the South West Coast Path (both around half an hour's drive away), and there are some fine beaches about half an hour away too, in and around Bude.

This site has no on-site shower facilities.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.- Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
- At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
- Please note that the toilet facilities are unisex.
- Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
