Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked: Peaceful with beautiful views and plenty of room. There are flat pitches all around the top of the field, the field then slopes to the bottom so plenty of room for kids to run around and fly kites or football etc, safely. The facilities included 4 compost toilets and one shower and 2 sinks for washing up, which were all very clean and tidy..(except for other campers leaving food remains in the sink and plug holes, which I cleaned before using!), not the owners fault at all.
The site is roughly 15 minutes drive to Seaton, Sidmouth and Beer which are all such lovely places to visit. You can also visit Lyme Regis, not sure how far because we didn't go.
We had a lovely time staying at Blackbury Campsite
Disliked: The 4G was non existent but phone signal was OK. To be expected in the middle of nowhere. Not a bad reflection on the site.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Lovely large open field with sun all day. Plenty of space for kids to run around. Choose your own pitch and arrive when you like. Loos well maintained throughout the day.
Disliked: Nothing really, though part of the field is on a slope so when busy you could end up pitching on a slope.
No mobile data signal! Could be a plus or minus depending on person.

Liked: Lovely views, lovely staff on site attending to the facilities. Clean site.
Disliked: Only one shower which was not hot enough and pressure kept dropping when people did the washing up. If this issue was fixed I would stay again, but not if it continued.

Liked: A lovely location, close to all attractions but a very quiet peaceful area.
Nice field and plenty flatter places to park. Lots of campers having fires. Nice loos and a shower (didn't use but looked ok).
Disliked: The water pressure was really poor when we arrived, very slow but I think it's from a bore hole. We had hoped to fill our campervan with water, and have to take several containers and wait a long while to fill them. Not a big issue and I'm sure if was busy from the bank holiday.

From the manager: We’re pleased you had a good stay! Apologies for water pressure issue, we had a power cut that stopped the pump from running, which is all sorted now.
Lovely campsite. Plenty of space and lovely views. Toilets and showers super clean.…
