  • Camping pods at a well-maintained Devon family working farm
  • North Devon coast and Dartmoor both about half an hour's drive
  • Self-contained accommodation with lovely rural views
Stay in one of the camping pods at Lower Larkworthy Farm and you’ll be welcomed by the Ellacott family, who have been farming in this fabulous Devon location for five generations and taking care to preserve the rich heritage of the place. Having renovated the farmhouse and barns, they’ve now installed a handful of camping pods so guests can get a good taste of this fabulous rural spot. Rural it is indeed – this is still a working farm where you’ll see cows, sheep and ponies as well as being able to take in some stunning Devon scenery. And there’s plenty more gorgeous scenery to explore nearby, too, with the north Devon coast and the edge of Dartmoor National Park both about half an hour’s drive away. For town amenities you can either head north to Holsworthy (10 minutes’ drive away) or south to Launceston (15 minutes); closer to home there’s a village shop and a pub a couple of miles away in Ashwater. There’s plenty of scope for active adventures around this area, but also the option of taking it easy at your pod, which is kitted out with a double bed, heating, a dining table, a TV, an ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette with cooker, fridge, kettle and toaster. Outside on the deck there’s a picnic table and a barbecue so you can whip up outdoor meals with a view on warmer days.
