  • Relaxed dog-friendly family-run site two miles from the Cornwall coast
  • A five-minute drive from Port Isaac and the South West Coast Path
  • Farm shop and dog-friendly pub within walking distance of the site
Looking towards the Cornish coast with the idea of catching your first (or umpteenth) wave? Crossing the cliffsides along the coastal path? Or perhaps cycling into the countryside? Well, the coast is your oyster from Port Isaac Pop-up Camping, as well as the surrounding Bodmin countryside. A five-minute drive from Port Isaac, a scenic traditional fishing village, you'll be well-situated for getting a little salty with dips in the sea, sweating it out on the South West Coast Path five minutes’ drive away or digging into (salty, if you please) fish and chips in one of the town’s seaside restaurants. The site is part of 20 acres of the Cornish countryside, so things are pretty peaceful on the site. There are simple facilities including a portable toilet and hot showers available free of charge, so you'll have all the more time to take in the splendid views or perhaps chill out with a barbecue. Leave the car behind and set out on foot – there’s a farm shop and restaurant with yummy local produce 15 minutes’ walk away. And in the opposite direction, 20 minutes’ walk away, the local dog-friendly pub also whips up meals from locally-sourced food products. If you’re looking for a takeaway, more pubs or somewhere else to eat out, there are plenty more places within five minutes’ drive of the site too (and a food shop in Port Isaac where you can add to your food supplies).

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Didnt. Chose not to stay

Disliked: Field rough. Needed cutting and rolling not flat very open to the road. Felt my tent and gear not safe if I wasnt there. Didnt feel my motorcycle would be safe if I was there.. just an open gate straight from the highway and the only 2 reasonably hidden pitches were taken anywhere else vunerable or sloping.. Further suspect there was farm animal waste present as at mld afternoon was.being pestered with flies. So I just moved on.

Big field, well sign posted and lots if space.
Flushing toilet and a lovely hit shower. For a pop up camp site that's all you need. Very friendly person who came to check everything is OK.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Location is lovely, it’s a field however the shower facilities are great (hot water)and a proper toilet.

For hikers travelling SW Coast Path (Tintagel to Port Isaac) the site is 2.8 miles away, however I called the owner and he arranged for a pickup (£5.00).

Later that evening the owners wife came along to check all was well.

I used to the shuttle to go into Port Issac (food + beer) and to return (£10.00), it’s a great little campsite, I would highly recommend a stay👍

Disliked: Nothing
