  • Peaceful farm site on Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula
  • Less than a mile from Mullion Cove and eight miles from Helston
  • A 15-minute walk to pubs, a chocolate factory and the village shop
What makes the Lizard Peninsula tick? Some point to its location as the most south-westerly point in Britain. For others, it's the vibrant local rocks (dark green in colour, veined with white and red). Whatever brings you here, the spectacular sunsets, comely coves and rural vistas certainly don't hurt… Located on the outskirts of Mullion, Far View is true to its name: the vistas are all about the greenery that stretches out for miles around. Fancy mixing up coast and country? With Mullion Cove under a mile away from base, this spot is handily placed for easy access to both. Guests have five acres of Cornish meadow to spread out in, with essentials such as toilets and showers taken care of on site. Human visitors share Far View with a number of permanent guests, including wallabies (you're welcome to go and see them up close), goats, horses, donkeys and guanaco. Dogs are welcome, but please bear in mind the presence of furry live-in residents if you bring them along. A 15-minute stroll takes guests up to Mullion village centre, which has two pubs, a couple of village shops, a fish and chip shop and (this being Kernow) a pasty shop. There's also a chocolate factory that can be reached within 10 minutes on foot: no oompa-loompas here, but there's plenty of scope to make friends with the in-house team of llamas.

What customers say

A well-maintained, spacious campsite offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities include clean, hot showers and plentiful toilets, with additional amenities like fridge/freezer access and washing-up stations. Owners are consistently praised for being welcoming, friendly, and helpful, often checking on campers. The site is well-located for coastal walks and beaches, with farm animals on-site adding to the charm. Fire pits are available, and many guests express a desire to return. Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lovely little campsite. Everything you need. Good quality pitches with very decent electric supply! Showers and toilets well maintained and comfortable. Fridge and freezers available on site at own risk, never had an issue. Great sea views! Animals on the land are a nice touch and the site owner was very friendly and welcoming.
Lots of lovely coastal walks on the doorstep.

Disliked Unfortunately the location does pose a threat with high winds. Evening of arrival was very calm and beautiful but gale force winds appeared overnight. Nothing negative to report regarding the site or facilities.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Loved this field with its quirky animals who were so friendly as was Jane, who came by often and always with a smile.
The showers/loos were good and spacious with outdoor washing up. Everything you needed was provided from washing up to fridges/freezers and phone charge cupboards (cost extra). We loved the view and friendly vibe throughout the site

Disliked It got a bit windy! But only after 5 superb weather days so no complaints. But worth being aware of wind on forecast.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Working farm. The view when clear was pretty, the animals and adequate toilets and showers. Plenty of space, not over crowded. Close to seal sanctuary and kynance cove. Hours drive to lands end. Owner was lovely. Very dark at night.

Disliked Showers were chilly. No reception to check in or out so felt like we were intruding to begin with. The slope was tricky to manage when sleeping so choose your pitch carefully.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked From the moment we arrived at Far View, I knew this was something special. Jane, the owner, doesn’t just run a campsite – she pours her heart into every detail. You can feel it in the way the grounds are kept, the way the animals are cared for, and in the warm, genuine welcome you receive. She’s a true professional, but more than that, she’s someone who understands the power of creating a safe, peaceful space.

As a parent of an autistic child – and being autistic myself – I cannot put into words how much this place means. It’s not just quiet… it’s the kind of stillness that heals. The soft sounds of nature, the gentle presence of the horses, and the freedom to simply be without the pressure of the outside world. My daughter could roam, explore, and interact with the animals without sensory overload, and I could finally breathe.

This wasn’t just a holiday. It was a sanctuary. A place where we felt understood without even having to explain. A reminder that places still exist where kindness, care, and connection come first.

If you have an autistic child – or if you’re neurodivergent yourself – put this place at the top of your list. Jane has created something rare here, and the world needs more of it. Thank you, Jane, for giving us not just a stay, but a memory we will carry forever.

Local attractions

Mullion (15 minutes' walk) has activities such as swimming, canoeing, coasteering and surfing, and it's also possible to arrange horseback jaunts along the beach here. The well-signposted South West Coast path also skirts the village, and there's a swish spa in town for treatments should you overdo the exercise. To the north, there are plenty of activities in and around Helston (20 minutes' drive). Find out about local customs at the Museum of Cornish Life (20 minutes), or head to Kynance Cove (20 minutes) to see the stunning turquoise water, rock stacks and tidal beach alongside the South West Coast Path. To the east, green-fingered guests should make tracks to Trebah Garden (35 minutes), a 26-acre subtropical oasis with spectacular coastal backdrops. A little further east, Falmouth (40 minutes) has plenty to see and do as well, including the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII.
