  • Roseland Peninsula site within walking distance of the beach
  • A 10-minute drive from The Lost Gardens of Heligan
  • Sea views, large play areas and coffee lounge on site
Just look at that beach… Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park is at the start of the Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall's south coast, surrounded by a patchwork of fields and the blue sea. It's a 20-minute stroll from spectacular sands at Hemmick Beach and in a stunningly scenic park with colourful flowers and views over the ocean and nearby Dodman Point The site is centrally set for heaps of attractions including the South West Coast Path, which is within walking distance, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 10 minutes' drive away. The rainforest biomes of the Eden Project is within half an hour's drive of the site. St Austell is the closest big town, about 20 minutes' drive away. As well as being in a prime spot near the coast, Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park has a play area with swings and slides, plus plenty of room for kids to run around at the park's big games areas. There is also a secure dog-walking area where pups can run free, and a coffee lounge in the Chapel reception area where you can grab a hot drink before a big day out. A heated outdoor pool is open during high season only (and subject to weather conditions).

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Huge fully serviced pitches
Very clean and well equipped toilets/showers
Well suited for the south coast of cornwall

Disliked: If you wish to use the toilets or showers in the dark then take a torch as there is no lighting anywhere.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: The pitches were so spacious and fairly private having hedging on 2 sides. We were the only people on site as most had gone home as the storm was due. It was so peaceful but even if it had been full you had the sense of spaciousness. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
In season there is an outdoor pool, the cafe was open and there was a dog enclosed excersise field.

Disliked: Nothing at all

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Lovely quiet site, with level pitches which were more than adequate size wise. The addition of hedges between each pitch gave an extra feeling of privacy. The swimming pool was a good size although due to the time of year we visited it was too cold for us to use. (Around 16-17 degrees). However it didn't stop others and was free to use. Pleasant staff and the site is well maintained. The gym was available for an extra charge of 12 pounds each a day which put us off so didn't use it.
The site is well located for visiting the local attractions but you'll need transport, we took our campervan that has a driveaway awning which was perfect for this stay.
One point to note is the walk to the nearest beach is tiring due to the steepness of the narrow road down to it, there is parking, but only for 4 cars maximum and no amenities once there.

Disliked: Would benefit from an onsite shop even just selling essentials like milk as there are no shops in the nearby area.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: We stayed in our camper and and had a small tent at the side. There was plenty of room for both. We had pitch 25 and this was perfectly situated near the toilets, shower block and kitchen, which might I add had a microwave kettle toaster and washing machine and tumble dryer, lovely addition as tea and toast in the morning was a breeze. The showers and toilets were very nice with no complaints. The site was well kept and peaceful. The staff at reception were very lovely and the coffee area with the veranda at the back over looking the outdoor pool and the stunning view was delightful. Can’t wait to return.

Disliked: Nothing

Route directions

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey for approximately three miles, at the top of the steep hill, turn right signposted to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Seaview International. Follow this road and turn for the yellow Seaview Lodges sign. If you are using a GPS or satnav device then do not carry straight on at the top of the hill as this will take you into the centre of Mevagissey where the streets are extremely narrow and often blocked. Please turn right at the top.

Local attractions

Seaview is close to the South West Coast Path – and sands – of Restormel, a top spot for cyclists and walkers, and among the coves, safe clean beaches and jaw-droppingly scenic coast of the Roseland Peninsula. St Mawes (35 minutes) and St Just (an hour and 20 minutes) are both within easy reach; access sailing, fishing boat hire and kayaking nearby at Mevagissey (15 minutes). You could also take a boat trip along the Fal from Falmouth (55 minutes), pedal the Clay Trail for five miles from the Eden Project (half an hour) to Wheal Martyn, or venture determinedly forth for Cornwall's old castles and buildings, including the Caerhays Castle (five minutes) manor house. Kids will surely like the Shipwreck Treasure Museum (20 minutes), within a short drive at the port of Charlestown, and Flambards Theme Park (an hour) and the Crealy Theme Park & Resort (an hour and 45 minutes). A football golf centre, indoor soft play and the Wingz bird and animal sanctuary are all a few minutes' drive from St Austell. Regattas, carnivals and festivals run throughout Cornwall all year round; ask the Seaview team when you arrive what's going on locally.
