Looking for Cornish views combined with the luxury of bell tents? Your search is over. Rescorla Retreats is the way to go. Set on a farm five minutes’ drive from Saint Ewe on Cornwall’s south coast, this pocket-sized, eco-friendly and off-grid site has just a handful of tastefully done-out bell tents, all with linens supplied on double beds, plenty of storage and pretty fairy lights for an extra festival vibe. The camping field has spectacular views over miles of countryside, with parking by your pitch, private-use gas-powered showers with loads of hot water and compost loos. There’s a communal barbecue for eating alfresco, and several pubs within 15 minutes’ drive if the weather plays up. The South West Coast Path and the beach at Pentewan are both about the same distance away If the kids need some wearing out, the helpful site owners can lend you various outdoor games. A word of warning here for any tetchy teens: as this is a rural site, there is no wifi (although there is a decent mobile signal if needs must…).
