If you're taking the family to Cornwall, you should find that Hendra Holiday Park is a mightily handy base. Spread across 80 acres of parkland two miles from the Newquay seafront, the family-owned park is very much family-friendly. Surrounded by the Cornwall countryside, it's also within 10 minutes' drive of a handful of beaches should you want to spend the day on the sand or surfing. Fistral beach, 10 minutes' drive away, is especially handy for the latter. On site, the aforementioned family-friendly facilities begin with the Oasis Fun Pools complex which has three flumes (yes, three) and an outdoor pool. At mealtimes, there are four on-site eateries to choose from. There's also an entertainment venue, a ninja assault course and an adventure golf course where kids can let off any remaining steam. Indoor soft play and outdoor playgrounds add to the list of family activities.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.

The site does not accept bookings for single occupancy (one person only). The indoor Oasis pool is open to the public all season and a small session fee applies at £4.15 per Hendra guest for an hour-and-a-half session; children under three are free. The outdoor pool is free of charge.

Liked: A really nice park. Clean & tidy with lots of things to do.
Showers/toilets were nice and clean at all times.
Pitches were a decent size.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Sone facilities felt too small for the number of guests on the park. The club house and swimming were usually too full to enter.
Arcades were ok but again, small.
WiFi wasn’t good and there was no signal on the park for our own devices.

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at Hendra Holiday Park! The park was exceptionally clean, and it was clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining the place. Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. There was also a wide range of activities available, ensuring that there was always something fun to do! Whether you're looking to relax or stay active, Hendra has something for everyone. I highly recommend this place for a great holiday experience!

Liked: Immaculate site, best maintained site I’ve seen for years!
Helpful reception check in and then a warden is already waiting for you at your pitch to help with siting.
Very good facilities everywhere and clear investment continues.
The pool was good value at just over £4 per person and had 3 waterslides.
Free daily land train to Newquay centre.

Disliked: Very little to dislike, but we stayed in the “Pine” field which was close to the road so suffers from road noise.
The land train operates once per day and is first come first served, so expect to queue and you might not get on.
Prices on site are a bit high, almost £6 for a pint at the bar, but there was quality entertainment.

Liked: Very friendly staff at reception and the entertainment staff were brilliant with the children. Michael the washroom attendant is a very nice hardworking person, a credit to hendra, the washroom was exceptionally clean. The grandchildren enjoyed the Easter egg hunt, the train ride and the arts and crafts class, which was all free, was a pleasant surprise. The outdoor pool area is lovely and clean but the water was freezing so only went there the once. Food was nice and tasty, a bit pricey but you expect it to be especially on holiday.

Disliked: Charges for taking a dog is a bit extreme. Transferring money on to a cash card isn't my way of spending, I think being able to use cash for drinks food etc should be optional.

With so much to do on site, you may find it hard to prise yourself out of Hendra’s landscaped country setting, but busy Newquay is only minutes away. Aside from its renowned beaches and surf, the town has a zoo and aquarium, great golf courses, horse riding, sailing and watersports, plus eateries of every flavour, and plenty of retail therapy if needed. On the outskirts of Newquay, Dairyland Farm World and the Lappa Valley Steam Railway are perfect for kids and big kids alike; and if you travel a bit further, you’ll find some of Cornwall’s most popular tourist haunts, such as the Eden Project, the Tate Gallery at St. Ives, St Michael’s Mount, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Land's End and the National Maritime Museum.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a £20.00 fee.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Extras

Entertainment passes are included in the rate.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event that the park is required to assist in pulling guests' vehicles, units, or equipment off their pitches, this will be done at the owner's risk and a fee may be payable.

The indoor Oasis pool is open all season to the public and a small session fee applies at £4.15 per Hendra guest for an hour-and-a-half session; children under three are free.
