  • Family and couples' site on the Devon/Cornwall border
  • A mile and a half from Bude and its beaches
  • Golf, sports barn, farmyard animals and nature trails
'In the countryside, by the sea' is how the Colwill clan describe their site Wooda Farm Holiday Park on the Devon/Cornwall border, which will sound pretty perfect to those who sometimes dither between both as a location for their holiday… Wooda is a park for families and couples, run by the Colwills since 1975, with lush views of the Cornish coastline and the countryside, and loads to do for time spent on site, like pitch and putt, a sports barn with fitness suite and badminton, and activities like archery and tennis in school holidays. Want to take things a tad more easily? Wander and wildlife watch around Wooda Farm's 40 acres of parkland or take a book to the park gardens. The kids will likely want to meet the four pygmy goats, chickens and lambs that live on the farm, and when (if) they finally tire of that, they can roam among the woodland paths and nature trails or hang out in the games and TV room. For the under-fives, bouncing around the toddlers' playroom (with Wendy house, slide, bean bags, ride-on toys and a new soft play area) should be a bit of a hit. The Wooda Farm amenities – three shower and toilet blocks with hairdryers and sockets, disabled facilities, undercover dishwashing sinks, campers' kitchen and a washing point for wetsuits – are excellently maintained, and the park also has a well-stocked licensed shop, a launderette and wifi. Plenty of picks for food are on hand too, with home-cooked meals (and plenty of picks for beer and wine) on hand in The Yard – Coffee, Bar & Kitchen. This is alongside a variety of local pop-up food vans that attend on various evenings and takeaway food in The Lodge. Bringing the pooch? There's even a special shower for mucky pups who've been running around the extensive dog walking area.

What customers say

This is an immaculately clean and well-maintained site with excellent, modern facilities, particularly noted for its shower blocks. Pitches are generally large and level, offering plenty of space. Guests praised the friendly and helpful staff, good Wi-Fi, and the range of on-site activities and amenities, including a bar and takeaway. The location is convenient for walking to Bude town and beaches. Minor criticisms included patchy Wi-Fi in some areas and occasional issues with facility opening times or the cost of electricity hook-up. Overall, visitors highly recommend the site and many plan to return.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked The staff were very helpful, the pitches were large, the facilities were amazing with a great little park for the kiddies.

Disliked I genuinely cannot really think of anything to put that I didn't like. We couldn't find the alpacas, that was the only disappointment.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Lynsey,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your stay as it was lovely to read the comments that you have made regarding your pitch, the facilities that we have to offer and of our staff.

I am sorry you were unable to find the alpacas during your stay. A park plan is given to guests when they check in at reception which highlights the location of all our facilities, attractions and activities and there are also lots of signs around the park.

We hope to welcome you back to the park in the future.

Upper Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Plenty of space on the upper meadow non-electric field despite being the first weekend of the summer holidays.
Beautifully maintained site, grass cut short, established plants etc
Nice clean showers and toilets.
Lovely bar with nice food and also a takeaway on site which we didn’t try due to the long queue.
Well equipped shop.
Convenient waste disposal areas.

Disliked WiFi a bit patchy in the upper meadow.

Upper Meadow electric grass touring pitch

Liked Good WiFi, well stocked on site shop, spotless facilities

Disliked Unlevel ground, long way to use toilets, cafe not open for breakfast

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Virginia,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review following your recent stay as we appreciate the comments that you have made regarding the free Wi-Fi we offer, the well stocked onsite farm shop and of our spotless facilities.

I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with your pitch and if this had been reported to us during your stay we would have done our best to find an alternative pitch for your stay as we want all our guests to be happy.

The Loft Takeaway is currently open Friday – Monday serving breakfast in the morning. When this is closed hot drinks can be purchased from reception, bakery items from the shop or there is also The Loft Coffee Shop.

With regards to your comment, we do not have enough shower and toilet blocks on the park. There are 3 blocks in total on the park with further toilets and shower facilities available in the Sports Barn and at the farm area which complies with the criteria set by the English Tourist Board and by the Planning Authority.

We hope to welcome you back to Wooda in the future.
