Electric optional grass tent pitch
Liked: What a ‘site’ for sore eyes! We all thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this lovely small campsite. It was spotlessly clean and we had everything we could possibly need. It’s fab having a picnic table for each pitch and also a clothesline that we could use.
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Well maintained site offering peaceful environment at reasonable cost. Like the fact that you pay basically for the units of electricity you use.

Liked: Person welcoming us (woman) was so lovely. We arrived late, stayed one night only as weather was terrible but was an ideal stop off.
Disliked: Toilet and shower block! One toilet, the top of which opened to the only shower so not totally private… the room was freezing, there was a mop and bucket full of filthy water in the shower with a sign saying to mop up after me. Opted out of showering as feeding a young baby and felt concerned about cleanliness.

Liked: We arrived on a miserable wet day
Disliked: Shower block cold. There was a bar heater to warm the shower itself but not very effective. Unfortunately, the shower itself was more of a trickle.
Top up cards are still used for electric and being the winter these ran out very quickly; we used gas in the end to keep the van warm.
We thought the price of the site was reasonable, however, when you start having to pay for the electricity separately it does not seem cheap. I found that we were constantly on edge regarding how much we were using.

Liked: Hard stand was great with drinking water next to it.
Lovely owners
Disliked: They say dog friendly, but asked we didn’t walk the dog on the field , meaning we walked down a country lane in the dark and rain

Liked: Lovely peaceful site. The owner was very welcoming and informative of all the amenities on site and some local tourist spots. An added bonus is, she makes pasties and bacon cheese turnovers etc. to order. Lovely forest a short walk from the site, cardinham woods. The topup electric works out cheaper than other sites. Pay for what you use. We put on £20 and didnt use all of it in the 8 nights. Most sites youre looking at £6-7pn. Great place to stay and we shall be returning in the very near future.
