  • Peaceful family-run park on manor estate with fishing and horse riding
  • Cuckoo Trail walking and cycling two minutes' drive away
  • Additional toilet block with disabled room and underfloor heating
What a handsome site – and what a handy location. Have yourself a holiday at Horam Manor Country Park in East Sussex for a peaceful and roomy setting as well as proximity to walking and biking paths, fishing, horse riding, tennis and golf – and quite a bit more on and off site. A family-run and friendly park on a manor estate, Horam Manor is only a couple of minutes by car from the Cuckoo Trail, the scenic 14-mile path trail along the old Cuckoo Line railway track from Heathfield to Eastbourne Park. Previous guests have esteemed this site most highly for the friendly and helpful approach of its family team, its modern and immaculately kept amenities, and its range of activities and leisure facilities for guests young and old. Fishing, woodland walks, nature trails and horse riding are available around the estate; and play areas are on site and in the adjacent village. The friendly welcome extends to family friends too, with a dog walking area close by and a dog shower and dog water bowls thoughtfully added around the grounds. As you might expect, the amenities are also excellently thought out: there are two toilet blocks (one of which has underfloor heating), spacious showers, private wash cubicles and a fully equipped disabled room. A laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer, both coin-operated, is also available to guests. Fires of any kind are not permitted, but barbecues are welcome as long as they're kept off the grass (the site supplies bricks just for this purpose). The park has a small grocery shop selling basics such as milk, sweets, ice creams and drinks; it also stocks local produce such as jams. More shops and a pub are in Horam, a few minutes' stroll away. And if you're here for the seaside, beaches at Eastbourne and Lewes are within half an hour; Brighton is within 45 minutes and famed seaside towns such as Rye and Hastings are 30 to 45 minutes from the site. Local buses serve all major towns in the area.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Liked it. Fantastic family friendly pitch. Clean toilet and showering area. Not far from nature trails and small river.
Beach is 20 mins away

Disliked No hot water in shower and 2nd day no water in shower ....

From the manager: Hi Amol. Thanks for your balanced review. It is true that we had hot water supply issues in the top field men's showers during your stay. Unfortunately, as no one reported it to us, it went unnoticed. We always encourage our guests to report any anomalies to us either in person at reception, or to any of the roving wardens / managers, or by phone. There is always the lower field services that could have been used- they are not just for the guests in that field. We hope that it didn't detract from your stay too much. Thanks again. T&D and the Team.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The site was absolutely lovely, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we asked to move pitches and they was completely fine with it. The showers and toilets was very clean and tidy and smelt lovely. The park for the kids was really good it had a zip line loads of climbing stuff, swings and slide it also had a skate park and gym stuff it was also very clean, my little ones loved it. There is also horses and a café and a little lake. They also have a list of takeaways that deliver. There is also a place called knockhatch about a 15 minute drive that has loads of stuff to do for the kids we loved it there we are a family of 5 and it cost £112 but prices vary we went on a Monday. Overall the site is really nice and relaxed and we will definitely be going back this year.

From the manager: Hi Tourers. We are glad that you had an enjoyable stay with us, and we look forward to seeing you back with us soon! Just to qualify your kids park comments for review readers, the park your kids loved is adjacent to, not actually on, our park. Thanks again for the lovely review! T&D and the Team

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Welcoming staff. Facilities. Location.

Disliked Sloping pitch.

From the manager: Hi Richard. Many thanks for the kind and fair review! As we have said before in review responses, we are happy to look at alternate pitches if your allocated pitch is in any way unsuitable, but we have to know to be able to help! We hope that having visited, you will have seen that we have grass pitches with a more friendly gradient for (in particular) motorhomes!
Thanks again, hope to see you back with us soon. T&D and the Team
