Good & well kept site but in our opinion not worth £172 for 3 nights!

Liked: Cafe on site, great laundry facilities.
Disliked: Some pitches to small for larger vehicles, no phone or TV signal, although WiFi & TV smart box supplied free for a deposit.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Quite clean pitch with full hookup, water and grey waste
Disliked: This site has 5 AA flags, don't know why?
It's a bit confusing with a caravan and motorhome sales at the front with a ice cream shack and what looks like a truckstop cafe.
Female toilets very dark round the back of the block, with a old flush sluice for chemical waste in a dark and dingy dirty right next door.
Burning stuff on the dog run which permeated my van that i thought there was a fire at 0230 bit scary.
5 men started cutting lawns all around me then proceed to spread gravel and use a really noisy roller which scared my dog and i, felt quite intimidated and rushed to get off my pitch.
Definitely not going back or would recommend it.
Quite a few residents with very noisy dogs

Liked: The site was easy to find and the campsite was nice. They are obviously doing a lot of work to improve the pitches. Facilities nice and clean all with family bathrooms which is a great idea. The site is linked to a Motorhome and caravan showroom so you can look around there. It also has a well stocked accessory shop if you need anything. Also a cafe onsite which was open until 8pm. Ulverston is a nice little place about a 25 minute walk away. Also within walking distance is the Buddhist temple which has woodland walks and a cafe. Although check their website as it was unexpectedly closed when we were there. The site is in an old quarry so wifi signal not good but they do provide tv aerial points on your pitch if you have a long enough lead to use.
