Liked: The pitched was very specious, well maintained with great views of the lake and the fells
Very adequate shower/toilet facilities which was kept spotless
Good security with barrier &gate
When arrived Ben taken us to our pitch, he then gave all the instructions we needed through our stay
Frank the site owner very approachable along with a friendly personality
Disliked: No Wi-Fi yet but we know they are working on it
Slight remote for if you want to get out and about on public transport, so do your research first. Can advise the bus Number to Kendal is 567 which you get outside crookland pub

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We're glad you found Ben informative and Frank entertaining. We all work hard on site to make sure people enjoy their stay.
We are looking into WiFi but most people don't have an issue as the 5G is so good.
We're sorry you found us a bit remote but in the site description it does say that the bus stop is 20 minutes walk away to catch the bus to Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale.
Look forward to having you on site again.
Kind regards Farletonview

Liked: Loved the views of the lake. Absolutely spotless facilities. Well spaced pitches.
Big Ben was extremely helpful and patient when we had a problem with our caravan last week. The cafe was a bonus, selling delicious soup and scones. Shame you couldn't control the weather!! We will be back. Thankyou
Disliked: Nothing

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Everything!! Fantastic site, friendly and welcoming owners, easy to find and great road connections from all directions even though the final approach is a narrow lane. Decent enough sized pitch for twin axle caravan and awning and a very large open grass area in front of the touring pitches so plenty of space for kids to play and a great view from the caravan. Newly opened shower/toilet block was spotless, keypad access and free to use hot showers too. The tea room was very popular with visitors and we could see why, the cakes were fantastic, prices are sensible and all the staff very friendly. Little garden centre and Garden machinery dealer on site too. No WiFi on site but there’s no need for it as the 5G signal is very good. We stayed for 9 nights through the Easter holidays and throughly enjoyed our time and would recommend quite happily.
Disliked: Not a dislike but the addition of a shower curtain in the bathrooms just to keep the toilet seats drier would be a benefit and if there was a play area for the little ones in the future I’m sure it would get plenty of use!!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Excellent site with lovely views for quiet and relaxing break. On-site Cafe open Thursday to Sunday, was very popular with visitors and cyclists. The garden well stocked garden centre was an added attraction. Something for everyone including coarse and game angling.
Well situated for touring North Yorkshire, The Cumbrian lakes, Lancashire including Blackpool and Lytham. Easy access to/from the M6 junction 36.
Disliked: Grass pitch needs time to establish as first year for touring pitches, so uneven and patchy.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: Location took a 2 mile drive to lakeland farm for all day activities kids and adults enjoyed it. Canal walk close by for dogs to run lead free. Site bathrooms showers are brand new all clean and hot showers free!! Reception on site, cafe on site, fishing lake on site. The awning area for your caravan is on stones so hard wearing pegs needed. You get abit of grassed area next to your pitch but also they have a massive hrassed area for kids to play on. Owners friendly and helpful will do anything for you. The site totally safe with keypad entry, automatic gates and keypad entry for bathrooms.
Disliked: No dog walking field for off lead exercise. Not a big deal but no wifi
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review we're glad you enjoyed your stay.
We are currently looking at putting wifi on site in the meanwhile the mobile signal is 5G on site. We are also looking at creating a dog off lead area.
Thanks Julie
