What customers say
This campsite offers a peaceful, back-to-basics experience with stunning, uninterrupted views and friendly farm animals. Facilities include clean portaloos, with more traditional toilets available nearby. While basic, the site is praised for its spaciousness, quiet atmosphere, and excellent location for exploring the Lake District. Some guests noted the lack of water taps and bins, and the isolated feel might not suit everyone, particularly those new to camping. The track to the site is described as rocky. Overall, guests found it good value and plan to return.

Would come again, nice first time camp. Bring your own drinking water
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Was lovely and quiet and definitely worth a tenner. Relaxing evening, easy to locate with google maps link. Great for first camp before wild camping.
Disliked I would pay a bit more if less pitches were sold. Started to be really close to other pitches who are drinking etc through the night so are quite loud. But brought ear plugs .

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked What a little gem this campsite is! In such a peaceful and relaxing location. When arriving we got to choose where we wanted to pitch and the view was stunning. The price is absolutely amazing! Being a mum of 3 boys, this campsite was great for them to explore and play without disturbing anyone. We can’t wait to return, hopefully soon!
Disliked Nothing, this has been the most peaceful campsite I’ve ever been to!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Rural, quiet, easy to set up, local to Windermere.
Disliked No bins, although for the price (and the fact it’s for charity) you can’t go grumble.

Super spot avec très belle vue sur la campagne du lake district.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Such a beautiful campsite near a working farm and with mountain view. The property is vast and different elevations gives more privacy. You can see horses and sheep right next to the site. Short drive away from kendal town but gives wild camping vibes when quiet
