Stunning views of delamere forest

  • Family camping with spectacular Delamere Forest views in Cheshire
  • Blakemere Village and Go Ape Delamere both 10 minutes’ drive
  • Traditional pub and mini-farm on site; access to walks and bike rides
What’s not to love about this campsite? Forest View Inn Caravan Park has a mini-farm chock full of friendly animals just waiting to welcome your kids – and there’s something for adults too, as the site has its own pub. Set on the outer edges of Delamere Forest in Cheshire, pitching up here also gives you access to all the forest’s walking and cycling routes. On this friendly, family-run camping and caravanning site, there is a scattering of large, non-electric grass and gravel tent pitches, all with spectacular forest views and surrounded by seasonal wild flowers. The pitches share facilities with the main campsite – they’re no more than a couple of minutes’ walk – and The Forest View country pub is about the same distance away. It opens for food from late afternoon during the week, and from lunchtime onwards at the weekend. Kids are welcome, and there’s always a traditional guest ale on tap. If the weather is playing ball, sit outside on the terrace, and if not, there’s plenty of seating inside. Of course the kids will want to meet the emus, chickens, pigs, goats and donkeys on the mini-farm too, so the chances are you won’t get to stay for long in the pub.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch

Liked: I stayed on the site with my little hound Digger for a few days. The staff are fantastic and very welcoming. Dre who works behind the bar is a top fella! And he knows how to pour a perfect Guinness 👍🏻😁.. Shelley who helped with the booking was professional to deal with and very friendly and the young lady Sienna who was keeping the animals fed and kept from very early. A lot of work which went unseen but what a lovely hard working young lady! 😊

All in all 10/10 … we will definitely be back. Thanks again Forrest view team.

All the best Jake and Digger 👍🏻

Liked: Small and family run. Very friendly site.

Disliked: Unfortunately music played until 3.30 in the morning. Bins overflowing for over 24hrs. Showers and toilets could have done with a more regular clean.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful, having a pub on site was great and it was clear that there were lots of locals and regulars on site that created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The location was good for us as we wanted to access Chester and Manchester, and the kids liked having the park to play in. View from our pitch was beautiful.

Disliked: The pitch was too small for our needs - tents were packed very close together and there was no room to keep our car on our pitch. The showers were freezing cold. No electric hookup option and no WiFi.

Liked: Really good site - nice views - friendly staff. I’d read some mixed reviews about the site but I always like to give a place a chance and I’m glad I did. Very welcoming. Very amenable. Quiet. Toilet block was fine - unfortunately we had to leave early hours as the bad storm set in!! But we will definitely be back soon!
