  • Peaceful park at a marina in the centre of the Cheshire canal network
  • Set in over 100 acres of countryside 10 minutes' drive from Nantwich
  • Café and picnic areas; access to walks along the towpath
Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. It's set in 100 acres, so guests can watch the wildlife or take a walk along the towpath. Afterwards, you might fancy a visit to the marina’s licensed café and picnic areas to unwind or rest your feet. If you fancy getting out on the water too, boat hire is available on site. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome on the site. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town Nantwich, which is a five-mile drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. The amenities at Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park are nice and convenient too: they include well-maintained bathroom facilities with toilets, showers and sinks, as well as accessible features for guests with mobility challenges. The site also has 24-hour laundry facilities.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: It was a lovely location, and it has a lovely nice clean toilet block.

Disliked: It is a little overpriced, given no-one is onsite to welcome you, the toilet block and washing up facilities are not near the camping zone etc.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback – we're really glad you enjoyed the location and found the facilities clean and well-kept. We appreciate your comments about pricing and we will be getting new toilet/shower facilities put next to the pitches within the next couple of months.
Hope to welcome you back in the future!

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (premium)

Liked: Fuss free attitude of booking and arrival, excellent quality facilities, nice big fully serviced pitch and lovely Marina to explore. Dog wash, local walks (with free printed guide!) Cafe and spotless shower facilities. A truly nice place to stay

Disliked: I’ll say this now, there’s nothing bad, obviously as a working marina there’s a little noise during the day but it’s interesting too, but no, can’t think of anything, although no obvious kids playground (we don’t have kids)

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (premium)

Liked: Efficient booking process and sent pitch number day before so could drive straight to pitch. There is a cafe on site, although I didn’t use it on my one night stay. Did a walk along the canal, reception can provide other walks.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the most picturesque track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
