  • A 10-minute walk to the local town of Hatfield
South Yorkshire activity seekers: sorted. Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre and Campsite on the outskirts of Doncaster has quite the heap of active options on site – and is in an area with plenty more in the surrounds, from golf to hiking to hurtling around indoors at the Doncaster Dome. The active options on site are land and water based, and include courses, group sessions, team building, parties, canoeing and outdoor swimming. Or you could just use the site as a base to potter around Doncaster and South Yorkshire, or as an overnight stopover easy to access because of its nifty links to the national motorway network. A play area and vending machines are also on site. Electric grass pitch

Liked: Clean, tidy site with helpful knowledgable staff who were always on hand. Food and drinks at the cafe were nice. Would definitely recommend the pizza. Good little shop with essentials and extra camping tools and equipment. We were pitched next to our friends a family with two children. It was great that tents, motorhomes and caravans could pitch next to each other so we could sit out together. (We have a tent, they have a motorhome) Ground was great for the tent, no huge lumps or bumps and well looked after grass. The activities were great and look forward to staying again when it's warmer and the aqua park is open. Location is great and close to the motorway.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The pitches were spacious and I liked that they weren't muddy and had a path around the campsite. My daughter loved the park and amenities nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive. Lots of hot water and the toilet blocks were clean and warm. This is our second stay and would definitely go back again. The shop is well stocked and we also had takeaway from there which was lovely.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The parks on site were great and the shop was really good value for money! Having the activities on site is great too!

Disliked: There needs to be more facilities. Both mornings I had to stand in a long que for the toilet. There needs to be more individual toilets on there own without showers.

The pitch could be raked to move big rock and sticks

Liked: Amazing campsite especially for young children. It was our first time camping and we loved it. Amenities were plentiful, toilets and shower facilities were clean and keep clean throughout the day. Staff were very helpful. Lovely little shop. We did Paddleboarding, Aqua park and the golden did wall climbing and we throughly enjoyed every activity. I world really recommend this camp site for families with young children, my children made lots of new friends and fun memories.

Disliked: Quite bright with all the lighting at night with some of the electrical point lighting shining directly in your pitch.

Close to motorway so you have s little traffic noise at night.
