OK for a night but don't expect an airy peaceful place to stay.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked: Pub food was good and staff were pleasant and helpful. Shower block was clean but a bit dated.
Disliked: Perhaps we were unlucky but we stayed one night and ended up on a small pitch right up against the toilet block and chemical toilet and 6' away from a large caravan the other side - pitch was not worth the price compared to other sites we've been using around Northumberland and Scotland. Also we were there on karaoke night which went on past 11pm despite signs saying to be quiet on site in the evening.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Flat camping area.
Not busy.
Dogs welcome.
Hot showers.
Disliked: The attached pub, didn't allow dogs on the carpeted area which meant that there was only a few spaces were we could seat with our dog.
Next to road and railway line.
Not value for money considering the size of our tent.
There was litter in the campsite that should have been picked up.

Good food and staff work hard but not a good site at all.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: The food at the pub
Disliked: Pitches - very very small. Basically 1 normal sized pitch anywhere else split into 2. The info leaflet says to park your car within your pitch but this is actually impossible as only just enough space for caravan!
Toilet/shower block. Very dated and shabby
No WiFi on site despite being advertised as so on pitch up (only available in pub)
Owners dismissive attitude to genuine concerns

I do not think that I swill stay here again.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: meal in the pub
Disliked: to many units to close together.
Toilettes need a good new make over.
There was no wifi on the site which was not as a modern site ahould be in this day.

Nice site, good facilities but the railway line was a annoyance
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked: We stayed on the hard standing pitches with water and electric hook-up. The site was easy to get to, a friend had just bought a motorhome and this was her first trip out in it, so she didn't want to have to navigate thin, windy lanes. The pitches were a nice size and there were a number of picnic tables available that you could move onto your pitch.
The shower block was basic, but clean with ample toilet roll.
The pub was friendly and the food was reasonably priced and tasty, albeit we booked in after a group of 11 diners so had a bit of a wait until our meals were served. There was a singer on the Friday night (which we didn't go to) and a karaoke on the Saturday night.
Disliked: The site is situated next to a railway line and whilst we appreciated there would be some train noise we weren't expecting the significant number of trains running through the night on the Friday and were awoken a number of times.
