  • Small Yorkshire Dales touring site five minutes’ drive from Austwick
  • Ribblehead Viaduct 20 minutes’ drive; Windermere 45 minutes
  • Fully serviced pitches; five minutes’ drive to pubs and a deli
With a stunning outlook over lush hills and valleys, Crooklands is a small touring site less than five minutes’ drive from cute-as-a-picture Austwick village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For adults only and immaculately maintained, each pitch has a gravel and grass area, and is fully serviced with an electric hook-up, a water supply and an additional car parking space, with a shared waste disposal point on hand for convenience too. There are walks straight from the pitches (good for stretching the paws of any accompanying dogs). Access from the A65 is easy, and the site is both a handy overnighter on your way up to the Lakes (35 minutes’ drive) and a springboard for exploration throughout the Yorkshire Dales. You have several foodie options close by. The popular pubs in Austwick are known for their good food, and a superb deli (five minutes) near Settle has a great array of cheeses, wines, snacks and ice creams. If you want to push the boat out, book Michelin-starred dining in Hetton (half an hour).
