  • Static caravan with North Sea views on a Whitby farm, North Yorkshire
  • Access to The Cleveland Way from site; Goathland 20 minutes’ drive
  • Kitchen and private decking; pubs and shops 20 minutes’ walk
Seaside holiday or stay in an historic town? No need to decide when you book a break at Brook House Farm, set on clifftops with breathtaking sea and moorland views but just 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Whitby. You have the rest of both worlds: peace and seclusion on a working farm, yet townie attractions like shops, pubs and restaurants close at hand too. Well-insulated against any inclement Yorkshire weather, the accommodation is in a static caravan sleeping four in proper beds, with living, dining and kitchenette areas and plenty of space so you don’t get under each other’s feet. You’ll have awesome North Sea panoramas from the timber decking – there’s also a sheltered gravelled area for catching the sun – and mysterious Whitby Abbey stands out on the horizon. Brook House Farm is surrounded on all sides by green fields and the sea; there is secure private parking at the site, which is at the end of a no-through road. Your only company is very likely to be the pigs, Suzie the friendly sheep and the occasional moggy on pest-control duties.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: A truly beautiful place with stunning views of the coast. We loved waking up to all the sounds of the farm animals, the hens and sheep, just looking out of the window to watch the horses running around being playing was a wonderful experience. Peaceful and quiet, shower/toilet facilities were very clean, well lit, water was nice and hot. Short walk to Whitby Brewery where we had a few drinks and a freshly made pizza in their huge stone pizza oven. This is now our favourite go to place, we will definitely be back.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: What a lovely site. Throughout our stay, the communication from Tom was excellent. He is a lovely man, offering advice but also leaving us alone to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the site. This is the site's main attraction. Set back away from the coastal path on the south side of Whitby, it offers amazing coastal views, but feels a bit protected from the weather, due to it not been directly positioned on the coast. There are not many pitches, and the amenities are basic but clean; perfectly adequate for the size and nature of the site. It was lovely waking up to the sound of the lambs and other farm animals, but it was not noisy. Whitby can be reached in 20-30 minutes by walking along the coastal path, with the Abbey and Whitby brewery a short walk away. The adjacent holiday park has a cafe/bar and shop, and they seem to welcome the public. We preferred to simply stay at home and enjoy the peace, and spectacular sunset (and sunrise). We absolutely loved this site and would highly recommend a good value site to get some peace with lovely views

Disliked: Leaving.

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: Fabulous stay at Brook House Farm, we loved it being nice and peaceful which was perfect for our rescue dog that can be a reactive.. perfect location.. a nice walk to the brewery abd the Abbey. 5 min drive into whitby town. The owner was so lovely and recommended a nice short walk which was ideal for my daughter, she had changed the bedding to nice fleecey duvets for us and left lots of blankets with it getting colder, and was available throughout our stay if needed. Caravan had everything we needed.

Electric grass motorhome pitch

Liked: Nice view and a lovely short walk to Whitby abbey along the cliff. And Saltwick bay which is beautiful. Host was really friendly. All facilities we needed. Hard standing was useful considering the rain we had on the first night. Hookup next to pitch.

Disliked: Liked everything but the weather in the first night 😄after that it was perfect, a very quiet spot.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Really enjoyed our stay! Lovely and quiet on a night makes for a peaceful nights sleep! Small site easy to find just along from the abbey! Sea view but set back from the cliffs so sheltered from the wind tucked behind farm buildings. Clean toilets and showering facilities. Really friendly owner who just let us crack on and was happy to help. Nice walks surrounding to take the dog on. Will definitely come back again!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike!
