  • Holiday park in 52 acres with views to Scarborough and the North Sea
  • Scarborough 10 minutes’ drive; North Yorkshire Water Park 15 minutes
  • Dog-friendly pitches; clubhouse open weekends for drinks
Set in 52 acres of private grounds and woodland, Lady Edith’s Holiday Park is a peaceful spot to lay your head down for the night close to North Yorkshire’s popular coastline. At 10 minutes’ drive from Scarborough, the site has views to the North Sea on one side and the North York Moors National Park on the other. Whether you’re seeking an adventure, a quick fun-filled break or a quiet getaway just for two, there’s plenty on site to help you on your way. Keep any kids occupied in the play area – cleverly sited opposite the picnic area so you can watch them as you grill up a gourmet treat. The clubhouse on site serves breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and barbecue food on Friday and Saturday evenings. There's also a bar on site, open on weekends, should you fancy a pint. Four-legged companions travelling with you? There are miles of woodland trails in which to exercise them – and that’s without even leaving the holiday park.

What customers say

This is a clean and friendly campsite with spacious pitches and helpful staff. Facilities are generally well-maintained, including a good play area for children and a popular on-site bar. Guests appreciate the convenient location for exploring Scarborough and the surrounding areas. While many found the site excellent value and would return, some noted occasional noise from other guests and found certain facilities, like the pot wash, basic.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Lovely scenic site, helpful and friendly owners and staff, great location for getting to Scarborough and surrounding areas, shops a short drive away, clean and well kept facilities - toilets, showers.
There is a also a bar and entertainment at the weekend, as well as food served at the weekends.

Disliked Sometimes a little loud on weekends late into the evening.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Excellent stay, friendly and helpful staff. Park is well maintained, toilets were clean and a reasonably priced bar on site too.

Disliked Pitches aren’t marked out (grass camping field) and it’s a bit of a free for all. You can go out for the day and find someone pitched within 3 feet from you, when you come back.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The location of the site is fantastic! Literally 5 min drive into Scarborough!!! Staff all so friendly and accommodating. Toilets and showers very clean, onsite bar with football on etc, bingo and reasonable drinks prices!

Disliked No hot water to wash dishes but that was our only problem. A kettle boiled each time sorted that though!

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked The location of the site, beautiful surroundings and in a great location. We didn't get chance to explore the woods near the site but they looked lovely. All staff we encountered were very friendly. The pizzas were delicious. My children loved the park area.

Disliked The location of the toilets, facing out towards the bar area, felt very uncomfotable brushinh my teeth etc. whilst people walking past bar or sitting opposite the door. There is a sign on that says please close door but people did not do this. The pizza oven was in an area where people including children were walking past and there was no cordon around this or sign advising that it was very hot etc.

Liked Not much

Disliked Camp site is very loud especially on weekends club house right next to tent field all can hear is drunk people singing, arguments, kids running around swearing. Toilets are right next to club house so everyone from there is using the 3 Toilet cubicles floor is always wet and dirty.
No security on a night people in tents up playing music and getting drunk having campfires till all hours. This was the first time taking my disabled son camping that also has seizures. We did go earlier in the year out of season and thought it was perfect for him our mistake going in april but work commitments ment this was the only time we could. the noise the music the kids running around near the tents was too much for him and he ended up having a seizure due to overstimulating he hardly went to the toilet due to how busy and rowdy it was. My advice if u want any sort of a quiet and relaxed camping experience or are elderly, disabled or have any sort of sensory needs stay clear we thought camping would be great for my son who can't go on holidays due to his needs and thought camping would be quiet and less busy for him we were definitely wrong at this camp site. Iv been to festivals download most recently and trust me there campsites are much more quieter with thousands of people there.

Local attractions

Lively Scarborough (10 minutes’ drive) has a couple of long sandy beaches divided up by a rocky headland topped by the ruins of the town’s 11th-century castle. Have a potter along the prom in South Bay, and then head over to North Bay for views of the town and seascape. Kids in tow? Make for Peasholm Park (five minutes) to hire a pedalo on the lake, play mini-golf or feed the cheeky grey squirrels with peanuts sold on site. And Scarborough’s not the only family seaside resort in the vicinity. Head to Bridlington (35 minutes) for amusement arcades, high-speed RIB cruises from the harbour and fish and chips on the prom. Filey (20 minutes) is the place for feeding chattering birds in Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, or taking long strolls along the sweeping sandy beach. There are bracing hikes to be had along the white cliffs of Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast (35 minutes), or sections of the long-distance Cleveland Way (10 minutes). If the kids have still got too much energy after that, let them loose on the inflatable climbing course at North Yorkshire Water Park (15 minutes).
