  • Luxury glamping pods at the foot of North Yorkshire’s Hambleton Hills
  • North York Moors 20 minutes’ drive; Fountains Abbey 35 minutes
  • Hot tubs, bespoke kitchens and bathrooms with underfloor heating
Set at the foot of the Hambleton Hills and with views towards the North York Moors National Park, the luxury glamping pods at Briar Bank Glamping are a splendid pick for families and couples who like the outdoors but prefer cosy luxury to camping in a tent. Tucked into a remote corner of a family-run North Yorkshire farm, the pods have woodland to the rear and wildlife all around – keep your eyes peeled for free-range hens and frequent wild visitors like pheasants, hares and deer as well as chattering songbirds. This is undoubtedly a luxury experience full of creature comforts. The pods each have a private stone patio with a barbecue and seating for alfresco meals. The treats keep on coming too: TVs, mood lighting and ensuite bathrooms with underfloor heating are standard. Private kitchens are equipped with a microwave, combination oven and induction hob, as well as a dishwasher and fridge-freezer. There’s also a private hot tub at each unit, where guests can pamper themselves following cycling or hiking trips through scenic North Yorkshire villages or exploring Herriot Country (15 minutes’ drive) and the Yorkshire Dales National Park (40 minutes). If you’re happy for someone else to do the cooking, there are plenty of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in the market towns of Northallerton (10 minutes’ drive) and Thirsk (15 minutes).

Liked: Loved everything at Briar bank glamping, the pod was huge, well planned out, had everything we needed, the shower was spacious luckily as im not a narrow person, the hot tub was amazing, sat inside on a morning enjoying the view and had a visit from a real life Bambi while there. Me and my partner will definitely be back again.

Fescue camping pod

Liked: We have just had an amazing weekend at this stunning POD. It was peaceful, in perfect surroundings, private and with beautiful scenery. The hot tub really was the icing on the cake. The owners left us a chilled bottle of Prosecco which was a really lovely touch. We took everything except the kitchen sink as we weren’t sure what was available. There isn’t anything in walking distance for supplies but that was perfect for us. I did take towels for the hot tub and my own hairdryer as these weren’t available. I also took a couple of snuggle blankets for sitting outside in the beautiful night sky. The POD was very cosy once my husband worked out how to sort the underfloor heating 🫣😂.
The oven was also a bit tricky but I suspect that is more to do with our age. The countryside surrounding is lovely for walking and the hot tub was perfect for tired legs, it was so quiet. There are only two pods and we didn’t even notice the family in the one next door.
We honestly cannot wait to go back and we were thinking about asking David & Anne if we could move in permanently, thank you

Disliked: Struggled with the technology..so might just take cold food next time 🫣😂😂😂
