Friendly owner, clean facilities, very relaxed vibe.
Fully-serviced grass and gravel pitch
Liked Had a great weekend! The owner was super friendly and helpful, which really made the stay enjoyable. While the facilities were a bit outdated, everything was clean and well-maintained, so no complaints there. The vibe was very laid-back, and no one seemed bothered by a bit of noise. Adults stayed up late chatting, and the kids had a blast playing games and running around the tents well into the night. Perfect spot if you're looking for a fun and easygoing atmosphere. It’s perfect for a good weekend getaway.
Disliked One tip: the ground was quite firm, so getting the pegs in was a bit tough—I'd recommend using metal pegs and bring a decent hammer.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel pitch
Liked Rocky, the guy over seeing the site, was very welcoming. We love a laid back site where pitches aren't lined up and not much room to swing a cat. Plenty or grassy areas for us to play our games. Other campers were lovely and joined in our games. Facilities were clean and everything functioned as it should. Brilliant footpath for walking dogs. Kids enjoyed the park. Only thing I'd suggest is a swing for toddlers.
We will be back.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel pitch
Liked Very convenient location for York we used the park and ride at Grimston Bar, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and multiple National Trust locations such as Beningbrough Hall, Treasurers House, Goddards.
Facilities were decent although we use our own primarily.
Although opposite the entrance our pitch was quiet and we were undisturbed, we had our hookup and were lucky to have our own water supply on this pitch too.
Rocky was very attentive and looked after us during our stay.
Disliked Smaller pitch sizes, Rocky struggled to fit everyone in, the site was extremely busy (noted it was August Bank Holiday).

Fully-serviced grass and gravel pitch
Liked 2nd time visited , last time was 2 years ago and yet again never disappointed, rocky is such a wonderful person , always there to help , constantly cleaning the toilet / wash room facilities, and always finds the time to have a genuine chat with everyone , myself partner and my children love coming to Fangfoss park , and this time round we found a lovely little dog walking area to !! The pitches are well maintained , regularly grass cut and kept onto top of , I don’t have a bad word to say about this place , we love coming !! It’s so peaceful ☺️
Disliked There is nothing to dislike about this campsite …
