Liked: Option to choose either to stay on main area (where toilets/sink/shower etc. are located) or further away on field.
It is a peaceful location.
Disliked: Location of pitches on field have changed slightly since we visited previously and seemed a bit closer together.
Can't use own fire pit or fuel on the site.

From the manager: This is the first review in three years which wasn't 10/10.
Sorry it didn't meet you expectations.
We changed the layout in the field so more pitches got the evening sun for longer.
With regards to the fire pit comment it clearly states all fuel used on fire pits must be bought on site.
You chose to pitch in the field which has long dry grass making it too dangerous for fire pits but we do provide an alternative which are log burners with spark arresters.
plenty of spaces to pitch private and non private

Liked: Absolutely fabulous site. Met with a warm welcome and a tour on arrival. Our hosts were lovely to chat with. The mix of field and forest sites gave us plenty of options for set up. The site was clean and quiet and had possibly the best camp site toilets I've ever encountered! Our boys loved the site and adored the chickens. We had a cozy fire every night with a plentiful supply of wood.We had a lovely time and we would love to come again.
Thank you again for an amazing long weekend.

Liked: Lovely campsite with the option to pitch up either in the woods or the meadow. We chose the wooded area, which has a very wild camping feel to it whilst also being close to the shower, washing up sink, and compost toilet. The facilities were very clean. We rented a fire pit, which came with plenty of wood. The owners were lovely, and we will definitely go again.
