Liked: Absolutely lovely, peaceful site, with an amazing host & lots for children to do who enjoy nature. We have 2 boys, 1 dislikes being away from home and he loved it so much he didn’t want to come home & has cried since because he wants to be back there. Such a magnificent site to enjoy nature and relax. Thank you Ruth for being so patient helping the boys with their fire, they absolutely loved the fire pit, collecting kindling sticks, den building and the slack line, swinging in a hammock in nature is obviously very grounding and calming, we will absolutely be back 👍🏻😊
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The layout was beautiful and the sense of care and attention the owner gave to campers and place.
Highly recommended for the site and eco values.
Disliked: The composting toilet was a bit overused. I think another toilet or two would take some of the strain off the single toilet (and the composting system).
The cars at night.

Liked: What a little gem of a campsite. Tucked away just outside of Hull. Site was very clean and well looked after, small wood for kids to play have fun and build dens. A great communal fire pit with pick Nick tables. Composting toilet was good and clean. Shower was fine too. The owners Dave and Ruth were very welcoming. We shall be back very soon for another chill out!! Shush don’t tell everyone:-)
Disliked: Nothing all was fab!

Liked: An absolutely gorgeous campsite in the woods. Very well designed and maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend to anyone in the area. Really great support and guidance from Ruth too.
Only things we would recommend are maybe: (1) more upkeep of the bathroom (lights not working, almost no loo role in the morning, bin overflowing, quite smelly) and, (2) some sort of recycling ability rather than just one bin.
Still, none of these were deal breakers and the grounds themselves were very lovely! Would very happily stay again.

Liked: The site is so peaceful, lovely location, the woods and stream are real nice.
We had a BBQ and fire pit was great fun. The pitch sizes are very decent.
The host was very helpful.
Our little boy 4 yes old absolutely loved running around and the whole experience was good 👍🏼😊
Disliked: The toilet. If your use to compost toilets I guess it's not such a shock. The facilities were clean it was just the smell !
Everything else was perfect.

Liked: What a beautiful place. The photos don’t do it justice. Lovely little hideaway. Owners really nice too, you feel like you’ve got privacy. I much prefer sites where you park away from the tents - it’s just a much nicer feel.
There is some road noise on a morning but it’s far enough away that it’s just background. We went as a couple of families & we just stayed there the whole time because it was so nice to just hang out by the river, in the woods, in the summer, with good company.
It’s safe for the children to explore and ours were ranging from 9-23 in age! The kids were all happy and plenty of space to keep them occupied.
There is a phone charger from a solar panel on site but we took our own as well - which I’d recommended doing.
Great fire pit, with picnic benches. You can also hire your own fire pit & we did for our pitch which was nice. Only one shower & loo, but only 8 pitches so that’s not the end of the world. Shower was great, really hot, lots of pressure, clean, loads of space & places to hang things. Tip for composting Loos- always take incense with you, we needed it but we went on hottest day of year so far so that was to be expected.
There are two small Trolleys to help take all your camping equipment down & back up the hill, which was a god send.
Pitches vary in size but are fairly flat & are bigger than you realise with some pretty solar lighting on each pitch which was a nice touch.
Really enjoyed our stay & will be going back.
Disliked: Could do with recycling bins - even if they’re at the top where you park.

Liked: Gorgeous soaceous pitches overlooking a stream, backed by woods and clearing areas for foraging and the communal fire pit.
Hot single shower and toilet with sink area for washing up, all very well maintained and clean!
Options to have individual fire pit at a small cost or use the large communal fire pit to cook over if needed
Disliked: Only had time to spend the night here!
