Disliked: Dog poo on the camping field and dog poo in the toilet/shower area. Our young son had it on his shoes. Dogs are allowed on leads but then the owners allow them to poo near other camping pitches. A shame - irresponsible owners.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We do not tolerate dog fouling and if it had been brought to our attention we would have spoken to the owners immediately.

Liked: What a great find! Beautiful little farm site with fantastic views of the countryside. Cafe open serving food, hot and cold drinks and alcohol. It was a lovely day so sat out at the cafe and had a beer and glass of wine. It was so relaxing and peaceful - we’ll definitely be back.

Liked: Location, cafe. Friendly and accomodating staff . Views. Great for walkers
Disliked: Bathrooms? Well out door showers, with door. Cold water at tap and no hot water when showered. Didn't seem clean, and leaves everywhere, sinks, showers covered pathways etc. Appreciated it is autumn, but still!

From the manager: We're sorry you didn't experience the shower block to it's full advantage and apologise for not making it completely clear that the shower blocks are based in a woodland and if a storm suddenly blows through we can struggle to keep on top of the leaves. We will, of course, always address any issues as soon as we are made aware.
Charging point, Great facilities & massive field with flat ground

Liked: Loved this campsite, the ground was lovely & flat, great views, & so peaceful, stayed for 7 nights & we were the only ones staying there for the 1st 4 nights, Toilet's were great, (used these types before) the showers were really lovely & hot too ( being disabled would have liked a seat/bench in them) charging cable was a god send too! The Cafe there did great food & drinks was busy every day, but plenty of room for everyone! The horses were lovely to see & the Donkey! As we didn't have a vehicle, we phoned up & the manager was happy for us to arrive & leave on times that suited us, all in all a great stay, shame about the weather, would stay here again, but would need a vehicle as in the middle of nowhere & only one bus a week from the village a good walk from the site! Many Thanks at Field House.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Lovely peaceful site, large field with open pitching. The stars at night were spectacular thanks to it being a dark site. The toilets are easy to use and pleasant enough and the showers under the trees are phenomenal. The kids play area is excellent and our children adored the animals onsite, especially checking the nest boxes every morning for an egg. We managed to collect 6 eggs to eat during our stay. The coffee barn has excellent food, coffee and cakes.
Owners and cafe staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Overall it was a lovely stay and we will come back!
Disliked: The weather was a bit rubbish but can't be helped! Someone ignored the sign and let their dog into the kids play area which meant I had to clean up dog poo on our first day there so my kids could play but this wasn't the campsite owners fault at all was just some rude person ignoring the sign and being inconsiderate.

Liked: We loved this campsite.
It has a little play area for the kids with a zipline and a tyre swing.
Animals for the kids to see.
It has a bar which serves food all day and on an evening. Friendly staff.
Fire pits available for the chilly evenings.
Toilets were unusual for the kids but they soon got used to them! We loved the shower under the trees!
All clean and tidy.
Disliked: Nothing. We really enjoyed our stay.
