  • Luxury pods tucked away in scenic woodland surroundings
  • In the Yorkshire Wolds, 15 mins' drive from Beverley and 30 from Hull
  • Heating, double bed, bathroom, firepit, barbecue and decking
A wold away indeed… come and hide from the world at East Yorkshire’s Little Wold Away Glamping. You could tuck yourself away here for weeks’ worth of activities and sightseeing (the boss will never find you): Little Wold Away Glamping is in the Yorkshire Wolds, close to the Yorkshire Wolds Way and its 79-mile meander around the region’s chalk landscapes. Beverley is 20 minutes’ drive away, and York, Leeds and the Yorkshire coastline are all within 55 minutes; elsewhere, you could set off for walks (or jogs) along the banks of the nearby Humber, or venture 40 minutes south to access the Lincolnshire Wolds at Caistor. And… you’ll need a rest after all that. How handy then that accommodation at Little Wold is in luxury camping pods, suitable for families or couples and well set up with kit and little touches to keep you comfy: there’s underfloor heating, a double bed and sofa bed, a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, cups, plates and cutlery, and a fitted shower room with toilet and sink. Each pod also has a roomy decking area, a firepit and a brick barbecue. And if a day out and about has only increased your urge to go undercover? The pods are hidden away in scenic woodland surroundings 10 minutes' drive from Brough: bag your supplies 15 minutes’ away from the bakery, butcher and shops in the villages of North Cave and South Cave and retreat back to this lush little base.

2 bedroom safari tent (hot tub)

Liked: We booked our stay very last minute, and we are so glad we did. Such a lovely location and they were so friendly and helpful when we arrived. The Safari tent is spacious, so impressed with the shower room, and the beds were nice and comfy.
There were lots of garden games for the kids to play, and they mostly loved exploring in the little wooded area.
Perfect spot to visit Williams Den too for a fun day out.
We really loved our stay and will be back again!

Disliked: It would be nice if the safari tent had a microwave like the pods, just for quick easy meals when needed.

Badger camping pod (hot tub)

Liked: The site was quiet and the pods were very clean

Disliked: Our television wasn’t working the owner tried getting it to work but took over hour and half we were asked if we would liked to be moved to a pod with working tv so owner went to sort other pod out whilst we sat waiting we then went into the other pod which was so cold took about 2 hours to warm it also didn’t have hot tub so to
Use hot tub we had to walk up long path plus it was raining the hot tub was lovely which is why we chose pod with hot tub next to it we were disappointed but it didn’t spoil our break maybe the pod should of been checked especially tv before we arrived

Local attractions

The Yorkshire Wolds are the low chalk hills of East and North Yorkshire, stretching to the Vale of York on their western side, Holderness to the east and the North York Moors National Park and the Vale of Pickering to the north. Highlights include the handsome cliffs and birdwatching havens of Flamborough and Bempton cliffs, each just over an hour’s drive from Little Wold Away Glamping; the biggest town in the Wolds, Driffield (35 minutes); and the highest village, Fridaythorpe, also 35 minutes away just outside Driffield. Or set off on the Yorkshire Wolds Way on its run from the Humber Bridge at Hessle to Filey on the coast; access it at the Humber Bridge 15 minutes’ drive away. For other leisurely pursuits, wetlands are around North Cave, a falconry centre is at South Cave and golf course is at Cave Castle; both are five minutes’ drive away. If it’s Yorkshire produce you yearn for (sensible), a thoroughly recommended option is the South Cave farmers’ market on the second Saturday of every month, where stalls are laden with a huge range of local produce.
