Liked: A great site that the family have been coming to since the late 90s. The lake gives hours of fun and the restaurant is a lovely place to relax
Disliked: There seems to be more development for static caravans and lodges so we just hope they keep some touring pitches as it would be a real shame if we weren't able to take the campervan here if they changed everything over to cabins and statics

Liked: extremely clean and well organized facilities.
wardens responsive and regularly visible (in a good way)
pitches spacious and close to water points
beautiful location
great bar / crazy golf / café / children's park
Disliked: limited rubbish points
long distance to toilets (especially with children at night)
children's park (although lovely) was outside electronic gate
if walking - very dark lane with no path to main road

Liked: Lovely setting overlooking the lake. Grandchildren loved the mini golf and football golf. Had fun on the lake in a pedalo. The staff onsite were very friendly and helpful.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: All staff were very friendly, facilities basic but fine for a weekend camping, bar area nice, patio heaters outside the bar so we could watch kids play on the grass. Berts was decent, ate there two nights, just turned up the first night so we had to eat in the waiting area on high stools/high table as it was busy but they still accommodated us at short notice so would maybe recommend booking in advance. The water sports & access was good and enjoyable. No on site convenience store but there's two small shops 10 minute walk / 2 minute drive so not a big deal. You can get a key for additional toilets / showers for £5 deposit which is refundable when key is returned.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The area that we stayed was immaculate. The grounds was soft, well looked after grass and well labelled so we could see where we were to pitch up.
There was plenty or room between tents and vehicles with families respecting each other's privacy.
Although this time, we did not play the crazy golf and kick golf looked fun and reasonably priced. The ice cream shed was lovely and clean with an array of flavours to choose from.
The pub on the grounds was reasonably priced and had plenty of lovely table and chairs and pool table downstairs and a full size snooker table up.
Toilet. Showers and washing facilities were available and was cleaned regularly.
Lake was beautiful as we watched the sunset a couple of times.
Last bit not least the staff were brilliant, kind, courteous and very friendly.
My husband and I will certainly be back next season.
Thank you
