Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked: - Nice sized pitch overlooking a grassed area
- Well maintained grass areas
- Toilets kept clean
- Paddocks were great for feeding animals
- Great play area for 3 year old
- Cafe has amazing food reasonably priced
- Good communication by email
- Nice view
- Lots of activities in area
- Great effort with Easter egg hunt

Disliked: - Lots of miss communication
Welcome email advises 2 different times for arrival. Emailed to clarify no reply received
When we arrived we were told to report to the cafe on the email. However, several staff came out to meet us but missed the driver in the cafe
- We were put on the wrong pitch initially so a bit of faff to relocate
- Only 1/3 gents toilet cubicles open in main block
- You can only see the stunning view from caravan when site not full. Pitches should have been set up at a different angle
- Lots of worm bug things when pulled up awning floor but only had one in awning during stay
- Would be good to have clearer notice board with times things are open and any activities going on

Shepherd's hut

Liked: Really cosy accomodation and some really nice little touches like the bottle of milk and some local coffee on arrival. Excellent value breakfast on site and although we didn't try them the cakes in the cafe looked fantastic.

Disliked: Shower was a little slow to drain but was powerful and good amount of hot water.

Liked: Absolutely loved the site, we were a group of 15 with dogs.
Great for dog walks, close to any shops needed. The cafe on site is fabulous, we had a Sunday roast in there and it was beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The shower block is lovely and very spacious, pitch sites are a good size as well. We felt very safe there. The staff explained everything and we're happy to answer any questions if we had them. The little animals farm is great for young and old kids lol.
The whole site is well maintained and the views are stunning. I would definitely reccomend.
