Camping pod (three person)
Liked: The pods were great, very cosy and clean and we loved that they had a little kitchenette and fridge which made our stay more comfortable. The wash facilities were really nice and clean and showers very good. The location was excellent with plenty to see and do in the local area. The pub is a few feet away with lovely staff and fabulous well priced food (the steaks are a must).

Liked: Nice and peaceful, lovely huts warm and cosy, Surrounded by wildlife and fields with cows & sheep nearby. . Fantastic meals in the pub.and excellent value for money. 10mins drive to barnard Castle town, 20mins drive to Hamsterley forest which was why we chose hilltop huts. Will hopefully be back next year

Liked: Huts were tip top condition and little bits like a fridge, kettle, toaster made it more luxurious than other camping pods we have stayed in. Pub on site was an excellent bonus and food served was good quality and not overpriced. Great walking routes nearby- got straight into Teasdale Way and did a beautiful walk to Middleton and back.

Camping pod (five person)
Liked: Pods we're clean and tidy with plenty of storage! very helpful, friendly staff! Pub onsite serving food! Food was in my opinion excellent and reasonably priced, you can either eat in or take away which we chose to do, toilets clean and quite modern.
Disliked: We had a 5 person pod which possibly would suit family with small(ish) children but was a bit small with our 2 18yr old kids, beds were quite hard and uncomfortable! Showers looked awesome but in reality the flow was quite slow and not hot enough! The worst part was the pot wash which consistered of 1 pot sink and two drainers when there was a couple of what looked like unused buildings which could easily be converted
