With easy access from the A12 and A14 plus 12 acres of peaceful natural land to its name, Low Farm Campsite is an excellent spot for an easy escape in a splendid Suffolk setting. This lovely location is part of the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape, and the owners of the site are doing their bit to preserve the local landscapes by returning their farmland to nature. As part of that approach, the guest areas have been designed to site nicely in the natural setting, with plenty of space so that you’ll never feel crammed in even if the place is full. The idea here is to create peaceful, simple experiences, and with that in mind the owners have set the place up as an adults-only site with just the essential facilities – guests have access to toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a chemical disposal point. Dogs are welcome as long as they’re kept on a leash on site – the area’s footpaths and open spaces mean you shouldn’t struggle to find a place for a good walk (whether you’ve got a dog or not). You’re allowed to set up a barbecue here if you’d like to do some outdoor cookery, but there are also a couple of pubs within walking distance serving up good food for those times when you don’t feel like it. Also within easy walking distance is a river beach on the River Deben, with boat trips available. Woodbridge (10 minutes’ drive) and Ipswich (20 minutes) are also close by for shops and places to eat.

Liked: Lovely place to stay. Well organised campsite with plenty of space and ultra clean toilet facilities. Dog friendly and well located for anything you want to visit in the area. Good price too. Couldn’t fault it.

Liked: We had an amazing weekend here. We had all our information sent via e mail, so we knew exactly what to expect and where everything was, including a detailed map. Very nice big pitches, everywhere was clean and tidy. Toilet facilities great. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Lovely well maintained site in great location. Liked the 'hands-off' approach, with good signage on who/where to contact if you needed anything. Facilities were spotless, although it would be handy if there were some hooks/shelves by the basins to put towel, wash bag etc.

Disliked: Not really a dislike, but something to be aware of - if the site is busy, you may end up queuing for the shower, as there are only 2 for ladies & 2 for gents.

Given that the site was very quiet when we visited (first weekend of season), it would have been nice if the allocated EHU pitches had been staggered, rather than back-to-back and opposite each other (see photos), to give all parties more privacy, peace & quiet.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 14 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 30 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
