What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite set in beautiful countryside, close to Wells-next-the-Sea. Visitors appreciate the spacious, private pitches and the quiet atmosphere, though some mention noise from cockerels early in the morning. Facilities are basic but clean, with a composting toilet and water tap. Fire pits are available for hire, and a nearby miniature railway offers a unique way to travel. The friendly owners are helpful and responsive.

Bantam electric grass touring pitch
Liked The quietness, the setting, the cute loos. If you want a site that's not rows of pitches and shower blocks but not quite absolute wild camping, then this is the site for you
Disliked Maybe the cockerels at 5am but that the country for ya so not really an issue

Amazing campsite if you’re happy with a very early start to your day.
Bantam electric grass touring pitch
Liked The location is beautiful, especially the camping field, which looks out over corn. The helpful owners were friendly and the size of pitch is fantastic, they’re all huge. The compostable toilets work really well and are regularly cleaned. Just a short walk ti the Walsngham railway.
Disliked Having our view spoiled by huge waste bins and a dog poo bin. The clean water tap needs a drain below. There’s a Cokerill on site that crows every morning, I was awake from 3.15am one morning, 4.30am the next and 4am on the final day. It crows for a couple of hours. I left sleep deprived, not sure why you’d keep a cockerill with campers? If you’re a very early riser it might not bother you.

From the manager: Thank you for your kind words about the campsite – we’re really pleased you enjoyed the beautiful location, spacious pitches, and clean compost toilets.
The bins are indeed placed near the entrance of the campsite so they can be accessed and emptied efficiently - we understand they’re not the most scenic feature, but they are essential for keeping the site clean and well-managed.
Regarding the cockerel – there are wild chickens and cockerels in the surrounding area, as we’re in a rural setting. Unfortunately, we don’t have control over them, though we understand how their early morning calls can be disruptive to some guests.
We appreciate you highlighting the issue with the tap drainage too – that’s helpful, and we’ll look into a solution.
Thanks again for your feedback.

Liked not very big and near to Wells North norfolk
Disliked Very difficult to locate with google maps and car satnav got lost several times. Needs large signage at entrance as small track and so easy to miss. Also more signs on the road to help plus sending a print out map to clients before arrival date.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear you had difficulty finding us. We understand how frustrating it can be when technology doesn’t cooperate, especially in rural areas where GPS and satnav systems can occasionally be unreliable.
As part of our welcome process, we do send detailed location information ahead of time, including our address, postcode, contact details and even have a pinned google maps location online. We also remind guests through the booking process, that we are a small, back-to-nature campsite with basic facilities, located just five minutes drive from Wells-next-the-Sea, which often helps with general expectations and orientation.
Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us improve the experience for all our guests.
