Tiddywinkle yurt

Liked: We rented the carousel, yurt which was absolutely lovely very comfy beds very spacious central heating and charging points lovely and warm inside very spacious. The hot tub was a bonus and the outdoor kitchen facilities was great. Fire pit was a very welcome addition plenty of cutlery and equipment provided. Absolutely lovely owners very friendly and very happy to help. Would definitely book again we had two other tents with us for our children and grandchildren so the place we had was great for family cooking great to get together. and the fishing lake was fantastic for the children they absolutely loved it. The second and tackle shop on the site was such a pleasure. The gentleman inside was so happy to help the children learn new knots for their fishing rods and buy plenty of stock, very helpful and friendly and a good price. .

Lavender bell tent (six person)

Liked: Everything! Our Lavender Bell tent had everything we needed and more. You really only need to bring towels. The whole place is well maintained, toilets and washing up area were cleaned on regular basis. Ice cream van and other food on the wheels available on some days was a bonus. There is a dog pen which can help if your dog likes to run off the lead. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Honestly you can relax and switch off there as the place is peaceful and comfortable.

Disliked: I'm sorry but I can't find anything.

Local attractions

While you're staying here, make sure to take a peek at Peckover House and Garden (10 minutes' drive), an 18th-century country estate in the gorgeous Isle of Ely area. For a bigger day out, you could also take yourself off to the Sandringham Estate (30 minutes) over the border in Norfolk, where there are 60 acres of landscaped gardens to explore plus extensive rolling parklands. Got birds on the brain? There's a lot of feathered life in this part of East Anglia, so take the opportunity to learn more about it at WWT Welney, a stunning wetland centre home to camouflaged hides where you can spot a range of species. You could also learn how to handle bigger birds of prey at Fens Falconry (15 minutes), a locally run company based on the outskirts of Wisbech. For more family days out, set your satnav in the direction of Church Farm Stow Bardolph (20 minutes), a rare breeds centre with a playground and tea rooms, or drive over to the north Norfolk coast (40 minutes) to splay yourself out on its splendid sandy beaches.
