Upper Meadow non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely little campsite, everywhere is in view so my children could run off as the pleased, great park & close amenities. The staff were really friendly and helpful & great with the kids. The local boat hut was really friendly & conscientious too. I have no complaints, we’re now going again next week!! Also, the toilets and showers were cleaned everyday & well stocked, well presented too. There is a shop on site that is really reasonably priced & on the field with the campers.
Disliked Nothing.

Upper Meadow non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked I didn’t end up staying at this site due to an error in booking.
Disliked Customer service was appalling. Due an error in booking, I asked to amend the date of the stay immediately after booking. I accepted this might not be possible but the manner in which they handled the request was appalling. I complained to the managed and, after acknowledging the complaint, they have not yet responded any further. Do not book.

Lower Meadow non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful campsite with very friendly and accommodating staff, felt very welcome from start to finish. The toilets and shower block is very clean and tidy with ample room. The onsite shop caters for all essentials and more for what you may need (or have forgotten).
The surrounding woodland and camp area is kept very clean and tidy. This makes for a very safe and enjoyable place to stay for the day. The city centre is a 10 minute drive away with plenty of places to eat and drink.
Watersports are on your doorstep too. We will definitely be back to stay.
Disliked There is no WiFi, which not being essential, is handy to have.
You do get a good signal though, so not too much of a problem.

We will be back.
Cabin (mezzanine)
Liked We stayed in the cabin it was perfect for our needs and very comfortable for our party of 4.
Disliked The sheets for the spare bed could have been cleaner. And the kitchen needed a colander but everything else perfect.

Rude
Upper Meadow non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely location
Disliked Terrible customer service, as Ben k states in another review. Don’t try and call because they barely answer. Seems to be ran be some very rude teens who have no clue about customer service! Two emails have been sent to try and deal with the matter but heard nothing back. Made a mistake in a booking , contacted the campsite almost straight away to try and simply amend the dates , was told that there was nothing they can do so was forced to re book and had an unpleasant stay due to 20-25 kids on a school trip being loud , kicking footballs and throwing frisbees , which came very close to hitting my partner. Barring in mind we also had a newborn with us, nothing was done about this. So much for a chilled out campsite! I’ve now lost out on £50 due to their failure to complete such a simple task! Don’t recommend, will never visit again!
