What customers say

This peaceful, well-kept site offers level pitches and great views, with many visitors highlighting the quiet atmosphere and abundant birdlife. Electric hook-up, waste, and disposal facilities are available and appreciated. While some guests noted the absence of toilet facilities, this is reflected in the price. A few minor points were raised regarding electric hook-up distribution and postcode accuracy, but overall, visitors found the site to be clean, safe, and ideal for a relaxing stay.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Simplicity rules.... just parking a van in a field and looking at grazing sheep while sipping a cider in the sun, is good for the soul.... highly recommend! Switch off and tune in to the beauty that is around you.

Disliked I feel as a minimum a simple al fresco washing up sink facility would have been appreciated.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Cleanliness and peace of this site

Disliked The three electric hook ups were all from the same point. If all three were in use vehicles would be very close to each other without a cable extention

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thankyou for you review, just to clarify only two hookup points are bookable, I have also now removed the third hookup from the unit to avoid confusion.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Really nice . Very flat ,grass cut short . Water, bins and waste all very well laid out down the side of the barn . When we arrived , having g booked around half an hour earlier we where called on by a lady to make sure we had all we needed . A nice touch . Very quiet with regards to road noise , also we were the only people there , more arriving the next day . Well recommended.

Local attractions

Hengate Farm is a springboard to explorations of The Norfolk Broads; around Wroxham (half an hour’s drive) you can hire sailing boats, go fishing, cruise down the River Bure and have a ramble along waterways in Mid-Yare National Nature Reserve (25 minutes). If the weather’s not too great, spend some time marvelling at the intricate train sets and model villages in Wroxham Miniature Worlds (half an hour). If you’d rather head for the seaside, take long strolls along the quiet sands at dog-friendly Caister-on-Sea (40 minutes) or Hemsby (45 minutes). If you need a few family facilities along with your beach trip, there’s a great sandy sweep at Great Yarmouth (40 minutes), where you can have a dip in the waves, potter around the amusement arcades along Britannia Pier, and eat fish and chips on the seafront promenade. Animal-mad families can spot tropical fish in aquariums and watch penguin-feeding sessions at SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth, or enjoy gentle themed carousel rides at Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (40 minutes). Daredevils may prefer to chance their luck on the thrill rides at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (45 minutes).
