  • Near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads
  • Two parks in one: family-oriented and more quiet sections
  • Indoor and outdoor pools, gym, crazy golf, bar and restaurant
If you can’t decide whether to opt for an idle break or something a bit more lively, then have the best of both at Breydon Water Holiday Park, near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads. It’s essentially two parks in one: the first is Yare Village, for those looking for an active, family-oriented vibe, with its toasty outdoor pool (open from May to September, weather permitting), crazy golf, and a buzzing schedule of sports, kids’ activities and evening entertainment. Just 10 minutes’ walk away is the more sedate Bure Village, where there’s an indoor pool and a fully-equipped gym. The site also has wifi in the Waterside bar and restaurant.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Chris who greeted us and showed us our pitch was fantastic. Great to have the entertainment on site very good sized pitch
Good dishwashing facilities and very well kept pitches with very litter

Disliked: Showers were clean but terrible that you have to hold the button for the water to come out at all, trying to wash a little one whilst holding the button for water was near on impossible. Also shower block very cold so as soon as water stopped little one cried as cold. Toilets could have been cleaner

Electric grass pitch

Liked: We has a good pitch,

Disliked: No shop how do old people walk that far down the road to the shop if they run out of essentials?? Put a kiosk in the building with essentials in ?,,, the food was overpriced for the quality the pizza was like eating the cardboard box and the fries were the smallest portion for the price, none of the staff had a clue about their job when asked a question, the slime activities were way overpriced for what was involved, arcade a rip off, only tickets for the worst prizes ever,

Electric grass pitch

Liked: We had a great pitch and the park was not full so we felt like we had some space round us.
The staff were all polite and friendly.
Facilities were clean and plenty of showers and toilets.
Good washing area.

Disliked: If it had been full it would have been too cramped for us. We imagine that when full access in and out of pitches would have been tricky.
One particular "mess" was left by the males toilet/shower access for a few days u til it was pointed out to a cleaner who then admitted they had seen it. How they hadn't noticed for the days before is a little odd. Not there fault and not pleasant but it should have been dealt with quicker.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Ease of booking in. Easy hook up and all amenities on hand, Jason the park warden was so helpful and was there for any problem. Walks to the local pub via the river and the old Roman fort, Site shop and club house was good

Disliked: The road to the ParkDean was 6'6" wide and I just managed to make it through as Caravan was higher than the kerb. Directions to camp should be flagged

Electric grass pitch

Liked: The weather. The pitch was large. Facilities are clean, everything works.

Disliked: The showers are operating on a push button, which one needs to keep pressed on, a bit difficult to wash yourself at the same time. Also the water could be hotter in the showers, as it was hot in the room for washing plates, but not warm enough in the showers.

Local attractions

Great Yarmouth, a short drive away, has masses of attractions – too many to list here, but to give you an idea: the Sea Life aquarium, the exhilarating indoor circuit at Karting 2000, mini choo-choos and tiny townsfolk at Merrivale Model Village and Gardens, and the Elizabethan House Museum, where visitors can don Tudor fashions and find out what life was really like below stairs for Victorian scullery maids. There are more than 50 acres of adrenaline rides, plus parrot and sea lion shows and an Alpine chair lift at Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft. For those seeking more genteel pursuits, also near Lowestoft is Somerleyton Hall, a Tudor-Jacobean pile with pleasure gardens and a maze, home to the Crossley Carpets dynasty. Drive a little further and you can explore the wetlands and waterways of the Norfolk Broads, or head south to gorgeous Southwold and Aldeburgh in Suffolk.
