Liked The campsite was very tidy and to a high standard. The toilet / shower block is the best I have seen. Great food at a reasonable price from Barney's Bar. The sonNice and quiet at night. Try the fish lake if you like.

Fantastic holiday can’t wait to book again
Electric hardstanding touring pitch (adults only)
Liked Quiet friendly park, with onsite fishing, although we didn’t use this , but the fisherman did say they caught a fair few fish…. Close to Cromer and Wells next sea, lavender farm, and houghton hall…
Lots to do dog friendly, where we were parked we saw a deer every morning, felt very honoured, toilet facilities excellent, shower facilities excellent and had my favourite radio station playing throughout the day bbc radio 2 excellent
Disliked Nothing

Pitch 22 shouldn't be allocated, very difficult to get caravan level.
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (super)
Liked Showers, toilets. Food, takeaway service very good.
Disliked Pitch 22 was on slope, extremely difficult to level caravan without blocks. Reception staff not helpful, maintenance staff very good. Booked super pitch, other pitches looked much larger.

Overall it was an amazing campsite, the best one we had been to.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked 1. Felt very safe in the campsite
2. Exceptional facilities
3. The club room is a pleasant surprise.
Disliked 1. The neighbor campers were too loud, playing loud music through mid night. Other campsites impose a rule saying 'pls dont make noise after 10pm' - wish this campsite had that rule. These campers really spoiled the good night sleep.
2. This is something i dont understand in any dog-friendly campsites, where dogs are not allowed in the toilet/shower area. What would a solo camper with dogs do? A truly dog-friendly campsite should provide a separate toilet/facility where they can take in their pet.
3. The tent camping area is much smaller than the motorhomes area. Due to which the tents were pitched in close to each other. The loud campers didn't really help this setup.
4. The washing up area is overlooking the restaurant seating area. We felt uncomfortable carrying our dirty dishes to the area where people are dining. So we had to wait until the area is cleared before we went for washing.

Unfortunately would not stay there again.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (adults only, super)
Liked Very clean site including toilet / shower block
Disliked No signage for when the bar restaurant is open – seems to be at owner convenience. some days not open at all. The single track road to the site is 1 mile long with few passing places. Due to the arrival time starting at 1.30 it is only luck on not meeting a car and caravan on the lane. Of course the outbound would have to reverse due to the passing places not big enough for a car and caravan.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and your kind words regarding the cleanliness of our shower/toilet blocks.
Details of Barney's Bar opening times are on our website, and a link to the page is included in our arrival letter, which is sent to you 48 hours before your stay. We are open on a Wed/Fri/Sat & Sun 5.30pm - 8.30pm for drinks and take-away food.
As you mention, the approach road is narrow, which is why we have strict arrival and departure times; all those departing have to leave the site before 11am, and no arrivals accepted before 1.30pm. This means that no caravans should every meet along the road. We hope this helps.
Excellent site with friendly staff, clean facilities
