  • Small and simple site on a Warwickshire family farm
  • A 15-minute drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle
  • Hikes, fishing and open water swimming in the surrounding area
Well, here’s a winning Warwickshire location for an alfresco break – Owl Barn Farm Camping is a small and family-oriented site 15 minutes’ drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This countryside site is part of a family-run farm that you’ll be sharing with the resident chickens and goats (they live in a separate enclosure, but are always happy to receive visitors…) You’ll be staying on grass pitches with access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a washing-up area. As for activities, on select dates during high season, the site runs goat yoga. Filling your days with outdoor pursuits should be straightforward around here – there are lots of walking trails to choose from, plus options nearby for fishing, paddleboarding and open water swimming. You’ll be able to tick off major landmarks too, including Warwick Castle and Stratford’s various Shakespeare-themed attractions. Meanwhile, if you’re here on a Saturday you’ll be able to head over the road and seek out treasures at Wellesbourne Airfield Market. For other shopping, there are a couple of supermarkets five minutes’ drive away for all your meal ingredients; if you’d rather eat out there are a few pubs around the area and plenty of places to choose from in Stratford-upon-Avon.

What customers say

This peaceful, well-spaced campsite on a working farm is highly praised for its friendly and accommodating owners, who are great with children. Visitors loved the animals, especially the goats, and the rural, quiet setting. Facilities are generally clean, with hot showers (50p charge). The location is ideal for visiting nearby towns. Minor points for improvement include recycling facilities and clearer signage. The site is a work in progress with positive future development plans.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Absolutely perfect couple of days with family. The camp site has a lovely, relaxing feel to it, all the children got together and played all day, meaning we just relaxed all day!
It felt very safe and everything was exactly as stated. Toilets and showers well looked after and clean.
The bonus of the Animals was the cherry on top, we were able to get in with the goats, they were wonderful, even had one on my back which the children found hilarious, great experience. My Daughter was full of questions every day about the chickens, goats and horses!
She even got to pick an egg out of the coop which she ate that evening before sitting out with hot chocolates watching the bats!
We can't wait to come back, honestly everything we wanted.
I even enjoyed the early morning wake up call from the cockerel!
We didn't miss not having electric pitches or anything, this was purposely a short pre September break away from everything and ticked all of our boxes and more.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Able to choose own pitch. Simple by clean facilities. BBQ and off the ground campfires allowed. Lovely owners and staff. Goats!

Disliked 50p charge for shower is a little inconvenient as we didn’t have change on the first night. Would much rather just have this added to the cost of the booking. Easy drive to Stratford upon Avon and Warwick.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Friendly welcome, ability to pitch where we wanted.

Easy to find and close to Stratford.

Will certainly be back.

Disliked Someone playing music all evening, buy they did stop at 10pm.

Not as dark a sky as hoped due to lights on toilets and a bunch of very bright on people's tents, but not really the fault of the site.

Liked Great little campsite! Lovely and peaceful/quiet, adorable goats, pint pong table. What's not to love!

Disliked Nothing. It's basic, but that's what we wanted and the price is fantastic. Bring 50p coins for the shower though. No change available.
