  • Gorgeous Bohemian style wagon
  • Between Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick
In a natural meadow setting, Rosie offers a cosy night / week in beautiful surrounds. With simple but plentiful facilities onsite, Rosie provides a rustic and unforgettable experience. Relax around an evening campfire for a romantic or memorable retreat. For singles, couples or families. Welcome to a beautiful, genuine, 6 year old wooden, Bow-Topped, Gypsy Wagon. She has been kitted out for comfort, ambience and serenity; cosy and dry in all weathers. She sits on a secluded, private, mown pitch, encircled by long grasses, outlined by trees, with calming and pretty views of the surrounding nature and breathtaking sunrises. There is, of course, a basket of board/card games for all ages, tourist information, a yoga mat and an giant outside floor mat compendium for snakes and ladders, ludo and draughts. In the barn there are kiddy trikes, and a tub of outside kiddy equipment. For a huge array of things to see and do nearby, in this - the second biggest Tourist location in the UK - see further details below. You simply won't run out of things to do within a half an hour radius by car! Nestled on the edge of the charming Cotswolds with their quintessential English countryside views and gently rolling hills (coach tours available), a visit to one of my favourite National Trust properties "Charlecote Park" - with a glorious riverside mansion and gardens, a deer park in it's extensive grounds with summer tractor tours, wonderful coach houses and its home grown plant shop - is highly recommended. So, you are absolutely spoilt for choice for things to see or do, all weathers - all within 10-20 minutes drive. You would struggle to have time enough to do all you'd like in a week or two staying here! if you even wanted to leave the peaceful ambience of your Gypsy Wagon, amidst her peaceful meadow setting retreat, that is . . .

Local attractions

SHOPS: In the Site's shop, I have yet to find something routine I've needed, that they don't sell. From milk and butter to icecreams, citronella candles to gas cannisters, firewood to marshmallows, kiddy nick nacks to toothbrushes, pot noodles to baked beans, mini cereal boxes to matches. It is not a food shop but is certainly a very useful shop! The village of Wellesbourne is a short drive away, with Launderette, Petrol Station, Chippy, a great Hardware store, a Co-Op and a handful of essential shops. Not forgetting the famous, weekly Wellesbourne Market every Saturday at the Airfield. The largest outdoor market in the West Midlands, and one of the largest markets in the country, it is all on tarmac. With a wide range of stalls, you can do your weekly meat or grocery shopping here, shop for the kids, or just potter and lookout for something quirky. ACTIVITIES: As the second largest Tourist destination in the UK (2nd only to London), Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon and the famous 1,000 year old Warwick Castle are only a short drive away, and the bus is a 1 mile walk. Set on the peaceful River Avon, these two favourite towns are teeming with activities, places of interest and things to do, and are bursting with historic architecture and quirky sites to see. Whether you like open topped double decker bus tours with audio guies, historic town walks, five Shakespearean properties and theatres, a swan sanctuary or butterfly farm, Elizabethan black and white houses, an Old School House "experience", a plethora of quirky shops and interesting eating houses galore, there is something for all ages, and tastes, all walkable distance from each other. There are numerous ways to enjoy the water - from paths to stroll, large riverside parks with a bandstand and cafes, to rowing and pedaloes, short trip boats or dining on an evening restaurant cruises. You can take your own inflatables, kayaks or paddleboards or even try you hand at "punting". From the small and picturesque marina you can sometimes witness boats passing from canal to river via the huge lock and enjoy the colourful, traditional narrowboats moored up or selling their wares.
