General site

  • Adults-only dog-friendly site near the Shropshire/Staffordshire border
  • A 20-minute drive from Ironbridge Gorge and The Wrekin hill
  • Within a five-minute drive of three pubs and Weston Park
Within a 20-minute drive of Ironbridge Gorge, The Willows Caravan Park is an adults-only site surrounded by plenty of local walks through the Shropshire or Staffordshire countryside. Set near the border between the two counties, this Shropshire site is peaceful, pet-friendly and pretty handily positioned for getting out to pubs, tea rooms and market towns too… There are three pubs and restaurants within a five-minute drive of the site, in Great Chatwell (a 35-minute walk if you’d rather go on foot), Pave Lane and Tong. Shifnal and Newport, two market towns, are within a 10-minute drive of the site, plus Telford is only a 20-minute drive away if you're in need of additional convenient amenities. Perhaps you’d like to visit the tea rooms at the garden centre just outside of Albrighton, 10 minutes’ drive away, too. With there being a restaurant at the 17th-century Weston Park, five minutes’ drive away, there really is a lot of choice. That's a lot of time dedicated to touring restaurants, pubs and tea rooms, so if you find yourself craving a nice, long walk, a cycle or some wildlife watching, make your way over to The Wrekin hill, 20 minutes' drive away from base. This is a simple site, so don't expect heaps of fancy facilities. All the essentials are covered though, with toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point for guests to use.

What customers say

This adults-only campsite offers a peaceful countryside location with lovely farmland and woodland views. Pitches are level and well-maintained, as are the clean toilet and shower facilities. Amenities include a washing-up area, recycling, and chemical toilet disposal. While some traffic noise from a nearby main road is noticeable at peak times, it's generally not disruptive. Ideal for exploring local attractions, many visitors would happily return.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely spot (off grid pitch for VW Transporter Motorhome), with loads of space around the pitch. Easy to find. Super clean bathroom and shower facilities too.
Site is within easy reach of the RAF Museum in Cosford, Ironbridge and the Severn Valley Railway in Bridgenorth.
Highly recommend.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely well kept site, with excellent toilet and shower block facilities. Dog walking field was great, gave us chance to stretch both 4 legged and 2 legged animals a bit after arrival.
Pitches are either level or gently sloping, with plenty of space for all types of unit. Road noise was minimal, highly recommended overall

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely site. Self check in was smooth and made the whole experience hassle free. Pitches were decently sized and easy to come in and out of. Toilet/shower amenities were well maintained and clean. Although there is no lighting around the site, the toilets and cleaning area were well lit and easily visible at night. Remote location but about a 13 minute drive from Telford city centre should you need it. Field of horses right next door to provide you with some entertaining neighs every now and then. Dog walking field just behind the site also. I will mention that there is a slight bit of traffic noise due to the A-road close by but honestly it was minuscule - nothing too disturbing at all. Worth mentioning that I had decent phone signal too (with O2). Would recommend and will definitely be staying again. Thank you.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked What a little gem this place is. Small, secure, peaceful, and spotlessly clean. There is electric and water on every hard standing pitch, and the bathrooms are clean and have everything you need.

From the manager: Hi,
Thanks for leaving your review.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay.

Regards our location... we are located in a beautiful rural area. We do have many local attractions including Weston Park on our doorstep.
You can visit here and enjoy exploring the country house, or why not stay for dinner at The Granary Restaurant. The Art Gallery of Rose Paterson is also well worth a visit.
Weston Park host an array of spectacular events throughout the year. Please refer to their website for further information.

If walking is your thing then you are spoilt for choice with many local rural walks. Why not enjoy a stroll down to our FAB local pub - The Red Lion at Great Chatwell. Here you can be sure to find a warm welcome, the best food and a range of local ales, beers & great wines too.

Many of our guests also enjoy a visit to Ironbridge Gorge, The Maws Craft Centre and Blists HIll Museum. Ironbridge Gorge was one of the first locations to be designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site in the UK. Highly recommend a visit.

You may also enjoy visiting our local market towns of Shifnal and Newport. Both are worth a visit, (approx 10 minutes by car to either town). You will find many shops/cafe's/ restaurants and pubs to explore in both towns.

Ahead of your next visit, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to suggest some other MUST SEE local attractions for you.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lovely site, clean and well laid out. Clean toilets and showers. Only 20 mins from M6 junction, so really handy for a stopover. A little traffic noise, but nothing too disturbing. Water available on hard standing, electric pitches.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The site is spacious and well laid out. Pitches are a good size and the water tap next to the pitches is great. The facilities are excellent. Lovely and clean and toiletries also provided.
We would use this site again.

Disliked The lane in is narrow in places. We turned right out of the site to leave, it was quite overgrown and wouldn’t recommended this route.
