Willow camping pod (hot tub)
Liked: Willow Pod with hot tub
Everything !!
The owners were friendly and went above and beyond to make arrival easy and perfect. The pods were clean, spacious and like home from
home with special touches , dog biscuits and milk in the fridge on arrival .
Toilet and shower facilities were spotlessly clean along with the dish washer area all very clean and well kept .
Beautiful views in a quiet setting and within driving distance of shops, pubs, walks and plenty of things to do .
Thoroughly enjoyable stay would definitely revisit .

Beech camping pod (four person)
Liked: Very quiet site with only 5 pods on site. Key for the pod was left in a security box so didn't have to worry about checking in.
Clean toilet and shower block.
Owners very friendly and popped to the pod to see if we were having a nice time.
Ordered logs, matches, and things to toast marshmallows which were there on arrival.
Disliked: Advertised as wifi at pod but very bad connection. Could only get connection outside the pod not inside probably because it's rural. Those of you with teenagers will understand the pain of not having it :)
Only other thing, we were put in the pod in between 2 families that were together so we had a lot of traffic of people going in between the pods either side of us. They may not have mentioned that they wanted pods next to each other when booking it.

From the manager: It was lovely to meet you, thank you for your email saying you had a nice stay, we are so pleased you have enjoyed yourselves.
All our pods have names, making it easier for guests to know which pod they have booked, some have hot tubs, some do not etc , and this also allows us to manage them as well across all booking platforms. Therefore when making a booking, guests do actually choose the pod they are staying in, we do not allocate the pods to the guests.
The booking you made came before the other booking. If you had been unhappy with your choice of pod, we would have done our utmost to ask the other family if they would have preferred to swap pods with you( which I am sure they would have done for their own convenience too). At that point it would have been possible to swap the pods, as length of stay and following , incoming bookings for those pods would also need to be considered.
We would have tried to help you, but sadly, we were not made aware that there was an issue, as nothing at all was mentioned to us at the time of the stay.
The wifi is complimentary and was upgraded last Autumn on the whole site and our home. It is Airband wifi which is the very best we can possibly have for rural areas, but speeds may still vary from other different areas and what guests may be used to. We are on it in our home too and have no issues at all since the upgrade. There is another review on here for the same period of stay with 5/5 for wifi, so I am very sorry, but not sure why you weren't getting it inside your pod as all pods have the same wifi system.

Willow camping pod (hot tub)
Liked: This is an excellent little place for a getaway. We did a little girls trip and the fact that its so secluded was the highlight of the trip, super clean and the hot tub was amazing in the willow pod, Facilities were amazingly clean and smelled good! Loved seeing the cows across the field every morning just added to our experience. Also amazing they offer a firepit hire that includes logs, marshmellows firestarters and matches for £25 and it was worth it we had an amazing fire night. lovely that its so small theres only 5 pods on site which makes it amazingly good for some privacy and quiet. Overall we had a brilliant time and will be returning when we have a chance!

Liked: The pod was great, in a beautiful setting. The rain didn’t dampen our night away. We had the fire pit going regardless. The facilities were immaculately clean. The pod had been decorated with birthday banners as it was my husbands birthday surprise - a lovely touch by the owners.
Disliked: We didn’t dislike anything, the only thing we struggled with was the pod was so hot overnight with 4 people and a dog. You may need to open a window if it’s a hot night.
