  • Simple riverside touring pitches by a mill in Wainfleet All Saints
  • A 10-minute drive from Skegness; 20 minutes from Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Pre-booked discounted brewery tours available
Pitching up where your pints are made – with pubs and brewery tours on hand too? If you’ve raised a glass to that fine idea, make tracks to Batemans Brewery Campsite, in the village of Wainfleet All Saints. There’s much here to appeal to beer fans, of course – you can see how the ales are created in the brewery, then take a five-minute stroll to sample the results in the local pub alongside your dinner. There’s another fine pub five minutes’ drive away in the village of Croft too if you fancy mixing things up a bit, and a small supermarket a few minutes' walk away for picking up any supplies you may need. It’s not all about beer around here though – this is a super spot in a lovely Lincolnshire location, with a river running alongside and an old windmill giving the place a sense of heritage. Days out visiting the likes of Skegness, Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, Gunby Hall and the Lincolnshire Wolds are all easy to get to as well (all of the aforementioned are within a 20-minute drive). A toilet and shower block is available next to the site in the parking area. It is locked and only to be used by guests on site; you'll be given a code by the site. Please note that the camping area is car-free; a separate parking area is available a short distance from the pitches. As this is a working brewery, early starts are possible. This site is not staffed.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely large flat pitches not over looking other holiday makers. Very green and clean, well kept. We was able to play with our baby in the sun on a blanket with his toys with our table and chairsset up too. Ideal to stay by the caravan relaxing or to explore the area or go to the coast. Great views of fields and great space to let the kiddies play games with the family on the large field. Toilets and showers were very clean and not tight on space to change. Just a shame no baby change if showering with your baba. The water was hot and water pressure was good. Only visited once with no loo role available but with a baby we always have wipes and nappy bags so no big deal just alway be prepared for tge unexpected. Lovely welcome pack and a card you need to leave in the window incase of an emergency as the site is unmanned. Great information on the area and ideas on what to do during your stay.Be sure not to delete your email as you need to collect the welcome pack yourself from the safe box. Lovely holiday makers guided us on what to do. Local pubs for food and drink in the village a 5 minute walk and co-op. Loved the stay that much we booked again before leaving.

Disliked: No ser route on exiting the site. Other travelers pacing away behind us was taking up much room we couldn't get out initially the way we came. There was a clearing by the toilets through some trees big enough but the ground was very uneven which would have been an issue for caravans with motor movers. In the end we asked other users to move their packing up a little so we could actually get out. This is the only area we would suggest some improvements on the ground out or advise in the welcome pack on what the owners would like people to do on the way out.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Quiet site, easy walking access to local amenities such as shop, pharmacy, pubs, train and of course Bateman's Brewery! Toilet block and showers good. Could do with mop to dry floor after shower and a shelf to put toiletries whilst in the shower but not a problem just a thought. Brewery tour was interesting and informative.

Disliked: Didn't receive instructions before arriving about the pack that needed to be collected. Not a problem really, we asked our neighbours nd soon sorted it.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: A lovely nice quiet site with flat pitches. A beautifully clean toilet/shower block with plenty of hot water and central heating so lovely and warm. Wainfleet is approx 5 mins walk away and has a well stocked Co-Op, two pubs and several take aways. I can highly recommend the Fish and Chip shop. There is also a train station 3 minute walk away and it takes 10 mins by train to Skegness. We will certainly go again.

Disliked: Nothing.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Great layout, easy to find pitches, nice and quiet site, toilet and shower block was extremely clean, nice hot water and central heating in them at night. Train station 3 minute walk and train is 10 mins from Skegness so ideal for beach trips. Very good site and we are planning a return this year with family.

Disliked: We didn't receive any site instructions before arrival so wasn't aware we had to get a welcome back or where to get the welcome pack from to get the toilet code, etc. But communication was good and the site owner came out and sorted this whilst we were out dinner.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Reasonably price, good clean facilities, nice village

Disliked: No welcome pack and as its unmanned struggled to find anyone to ask so just pitched on empty pitch. Then had to move which upset daughter who is autistic so struggles with last minute changes. Very disappointed as pitch we had chosen wasn't used during our stay so no real reason why we couldn't have stayed put also we requested quiet pitch and was placed by the entrance luckily very few people on site so not busy.

Local attractions

While enjoying the present moment is lovely, a little bit of the past can liven up your holiday even more. That certainly rings true at the National Trust’s Gunby Hall and Gardens (15 minutes), where there's a country house of old, or the Bubblecar Museum (35 minutes), where it's possible to join in on ride days in historic microcars. Another way to get around, there’s a horse riding centre (25 minutes) within driving distance of the site too. There are rare-breed horses at the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre (15 minutes) - just call in to meet all the residents. And for more animals, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (10 minutes) or Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (15 minutes) could be another port of call (binoculars are a handy accomplice for this second one). While the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) delivers when it comes to natural beauty and walks galore, it’s in Skegness (10 minutes) that the beach, aquarium and seal sanctuary take the spotlight. There’s all the activity of the rides at the Fantasy Island theme park (20 minutes) too, a good one for the kids in your group.
