For discos, waterslides and bingo by the beach, make tracks to Golden Palm Resort on the Lincolnshire coast. There's so much to see and do at this Chapel St Leonards site that you could quite easily spend your entire stay here, soaking up sunshine in the day and jetting off to lively evening entertainment at night. This wide range of options will come as no surprise to those familiar with the park (which, by the way, is the biggest privately owned such spot in all of Lincolnshire). By reputation, holidays here are jam-packed with family-friendly activities ranging from miniature golf to a full-sized amusement arcade. That said, this park is also a mere 15-minute drive from quieter spots like the Lincolnshire Wolds and the grassy sand dunes of Moggs Eye beach, making it an equally prime pick for low-key breaks. Nature-themed times are easy to come by in this part of the world too, what with Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (25 minutes) and Donna Nook seal sanctuary (45 minutes)… Back at base, Golden Palm Resort is mighty convenient when it comes to sorting dinner – you can tuck into classic fish and chips, Chinese takeaways or traditional Sunday roasts at the Maid Marian pub without so much as stepping outside the complex, plus there's a well-stocked food shop for self-catered meals.

Ash Standard 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: For a very cheap of season caravan I thought it was very good, it was clean & well equipped + it was situated close to all amenities

Disliked: We had to hire an iron because we forgot to take are’s & had to pay £10 it would have been as cheap to go & buy one

Recommend to friends Visit again

Don't charge for a full day if caravans are not ready !!!

Ash Standard 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: We absolutely love this place. I myself have been going to chapel at Leonard's my whole life. More than once a year for the last 53 years. It's such a friendly place with loads to do and not far from main attractions such as ingoldmels and Skegness.

Disliked: I didn't like the fact this year that we only went for 5 days (Monday to Friday) but we couldn't actually get in the caravan until after 6 o clock PM!!! We were initially told we could be in between 3 and 4 but this wasn't the case. It was as though we lost nearly a full day! We couldn't really go anywhere as we wanted to get in, unpacked and enjoy the day.

Recommend to friends Visit again

Elm Deluxe 2 bedroom static caravan

Disliked: What a difference a year makes, we came here last year twice & enjoying everything But this year not so especially the club at night although the entertainment was still very good the staff seemed as though they really didn’t want to be there especially the security, As soon as the entertainment finished we were given a plastic glass to pour are drinks into & bullied out,

Coast and countryside are both close to hand here, with Skegness and Mablethorpe both within half an hour's drive. Inland, meanwhile, there's the Lincolnshire Wolds (15 minutes' drive), full of chalk hills, valleys, Viking villages and market towns. Ingoldmells (10 minutes) is even closer for Fantasy Island and the huge indoor market, while Sutton on Sea (20 minutes) has a laidback beach with gardens and a seafront paddling pool. For grownup entertainment, a knock-around at Skegness Golf Centre (10 minutes), the racecourse at Market Rasen (55 minutes) and the circuit races at Cadwell Park (35 minutes) are all top options. Closer to home, you could also have a browse or barter at the Chapel St Leonards car boot sale (a few minutes' walk) to pick up some bargains. Budding historians will find highlights all over Lincolnshire, such as the five-sailed mill at Alford (20 minutes), huge Thornton Abbey (an hour and 20 minutes) with its maize maze and summer fruit picking, or taking a day at Lincoln (an hour and 10 minutes) to see the cathedral and 11th-century castle.
