Liked: Well signposted. Met owner who took us to a pleasant field with facilities as advertised. Cycled to nearby pub (The Three Horeshoes) 15 mins away for dinner which was really nice.

Liked: Exactly as advertised - toilets were simple but clean, really nicely maintained field. No showers, but that is advertised. You can park right by your tent which is always a win.
Close to Berkhamstead town with lots of walking trails. Tents are nicely spaced in the field and we had a contact number if we needed anything. A lovely weekend away!
Disliked: Just a suggestion really - as the place is hard to find, just with the Pitchup signs on the posts, it would be better to have more signs showing where to go. When we met one of the owners at the house, he asked us to follow him but went off in his truck before we could even turn the car on and did not wait for us at all, just headed straight for the field and expected us to know where to go. Luckily we had seen the Pitchup sign earlier, so had a rough idea of where to go, but either better signage (or slowing down for guests to actually follow the truck) would be better.

Liked: We loved the peace, the simplicity, the back to basics, the space.
It was our first camping trip with our grandbabies 4 and 2 on our own - we ended up with a field to ourselves where the babies and the puppy could run free - it’s what camping with toddlers and a puppy is all about
We will definitely be back and so local is a bonus
Lovely owners as well
Disliked: Nothing we loved it all

Liked: - Very friendly and approachable owner, who welcomed us on arrival and allowed us to stay longer on the day of departure
- Peaceful location
- Lovely, rural views of farmland
- A field to ourselves!
- Close to interesting areas should you wish to get out and about
- Clean, basic facilities
Disliked: We had reservations about the price, (especially when the cost for 2 dogs was added) which is more than we usually pay for a site with EHU and onsite toilet and shower block, but by the end of our trip, we felt that we had had more than our money’s worth! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the dogs had an off-lead ‘ball’! Thank-you.

Liked: Friendly and helpful owner. Plenty of space to choose pitches and provision of football goals/footballs and other outdoor games. Ability to walk to local pub/car boot on Saturday.
Disliked: Campsite is basic - drinking tap and portaloos only, but this is in line with description,

Liked: Meadow View Farm is the perfect site for a family camping adventure!
Our family, with children (aged 6 and 3) loved our stay. It was peaceful with spectacular views, complemented by the perfect sunset. As advertised, this is very much a simple approach to camping, which was 100% our preference. A great way to switch off and just enjoy the nature. Saying that, there is strong 4G signal on your phone, which might be good to know if you have kids that want to connect to the internet!
It was a really nice touch to have a couple of football goals set up for the children, along with outdoor games. The field was nicely mowed, so was great for all their running around and games.
We would definitely stay again! Thank you :)
