  • Surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex countryside
  • Half an hour by train from London
  • Bike hire, countryside views, playground and shop
Are you up for escaping London town for a spell? Or how about settling down within easy reach of it at less than city prices – leaving you free to spend your dosh on train fares into town and quite a lot of London beer? Have a look at Lee Valley Caravan Park Dobbs Weir, only 30 minutes from the glittery lights of the capital. A nifty base for city trips or Lee Valley sojourns, Dobbs Weir is surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex green countryside, and carefully landscaped to fit in with its natural surroundings (excellent countryside views come as standard). Pitches have plenty of space between them so there's no chance of feeling hemmed in. Bike hire is available, along with free wifi, a playground and a site shop. Amenities include disabled access facilities with heated toilet and shower blocks, chemical disposal, and a laundry with drying and ironing.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Stayed in camper van, one night with grandchildren in school holidays the week before Easter. Good choice as it was quiet. Spotless facilities and spacious pitches. Children loved the playground. Handy to have a small shop. Walking distance to Dobbs Weir and a lovely pub.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Only my 2nd visit here, but the site is amazing, the only downside is, if you camping with a tent, your right at the front of the site and the toilets and showers are further up the site, but otherwise, the staff are really accommodating, extremely helpful of you need to make any amendments or have any last minute requests. Its very peaceful of a nigjt as prople.repsect others an noise is always minimal if at all. The shop doesn't have much in, but it's still chilly weather wise and not many people on site, but when it's warmer and more people on site they are planning more variety in the shop. Will definitely be using the site as much as possible!!!!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Could be helpful to have toilet facilities closer to the tent end.
